    Steven's "Fine?" Homes

    The process of building the home was fine but the quality of work is poor. The real problems begin once you close on the home and start having to deal with the warranty dept. Most of the homes in the area had backdoor leaks. They replaced a few, but for ours they thought a little caulk would be fine. Two and a half years later it still leaks and they will not do anything about it. We also had a plumbing leak within the first month, which ruined our hardwood floors that we had to wait months to be replaced. You are suppose to have 3 home warranty inspections, we only got two and the first was at 9 months instead of 3 months. Which only happened because we called them. I would think twice before buying one of these homes. At least walk around and talk to the home owners and ask about the problems they have had, just make sure they have lived there for more than a year. I think they need to lose the fine in their name.
