purchased a house repairs needed to close

i purchased investment property from stix and brix. i have looked at lots of property in many areas. it simply takes some common cense when purchasing property. look around, use your eyes, do some research. i could not find a better deal. you can always find something wrong with a 100 year old house. but their property is well taken care of where it matters most.

    They flipped our house

We recently purchased our first home from Stix & Brix. Upon moving in, our disclosure did NOT mention anything about a leak in one of our roofs. After living at our house for a couple of weeks, the snow melted and we started to get rain. Water came pouring into one of our bathrooms, down and INTO the wall and is in our basement. The flat roof in the front of our house leaks onto our porch. We just had 120 feet of tree roots and other disgusting things pulled out of our sewer once our sewer backed up into our basement. Nails and staples stick up through the carpet throughout our house. We have been in contact with the seller, Scott Rech, however he was unwilling to cooperate and was not willing to help with the repairs. We have since filed a law suit and hope to have this all resolved soon. They used paint and different materials in areas to cover up water stains so we wouldn't notice any leaks. I do not recommend this company, as one of my coworkers sons also bought a house from this company and found paper bags, plastic bags and newspapers under the flooring to level it out. His employees are mainly family members and I don't know if they are professionals for sure, but they certainly don't seem to know what they are doing; they did not pull a permit for one of the roofs they "fixed" on our house. The family is very unprofessional. They threaten to sue anyone who speaks poorly or reviews this company poorly. We are not very happy as this is our first home and we were screwed over. Now we are stuck with over $25,000 in repairs and we have lived in our house for 4.5 months.
