James has done 6-8 jobs for me past 4-5 years. He does the best job hands down for refinishing floors. I recommend James all the time. Would not use anyone else. As they say " Why mess with perfection "

I was installing my own hardwood floors and ran into a problem that I couldn't figure out. I call James and ran the issue by him and he was in the area with in ten minutes he stopped by and gave me a hand at no charge. He also gave me some great advice on how and what I would need to complete my project. All this and he didn't charge me. He was here for almost and hour walking me through hings. Two thumbs up. I would refere him to my family and friends. Thanks again

James and Paul installed American cherry into our new home. They did an amazing job! Always on site when they said they would be, accommodating to the other contractors and their schedule, and willing to put up with my endless questions! The floors turned out amazing! True artists in every sense! Thank you James and Paul for you hard work and my floors are truly the center piece of our home!!

This is my second review for Stix/Stones, this time for a job of a different nature. A water leak damaged the oak strip flooring in our home. We called James and he made it over the next morning between jobs to rip up about 150 square feet of damaged flooring and made sure there were fans on the area to dry out the subfloor ASAP. Had he not skipped his lunch to run over and pull up the flooring right away, twice as much flooring would have been damaged. His initiative and professionalism saved me a lot of money, and his work is beautiful.

We removed two walls, and installed a beam to open up our kitchen/dining room. James and Paul did a perfect job reweaving the oak strip flooring, and put a flawless finish on the whole house (downstairs sanded, upstairs buffed and varnished). The weave is so well done, that to show visitors where the old wall was, I have to find a doorway and visually measure out from there - I can't find the spot by looking at the flooring. Very nice people and highly skilled craftsmen.

James and crew just completed a water damage repair and refinish to the oak floor in our house. We couldn't be more pleased with his work and the quality of the install. Refinished to perfection and on time. We highly recommend him.

James (owner of Stix and Stones) just completed a very challenging installation at my new house, and I could not be happier with the results. He and his son were so friendly and great to work with. My family actually misses having them around now that they are done! The attention to detail and quality customer service provided by this company are unbeatable.
