I researched towns in north Georgia for five years, and finally am ready to build a house. I was looking from Canton to Cumming, Johns Creek to Woodstock, but really like Dawsonville.
I was impressed with StoneyBrooke Farms (Mr. Zuckerman's) website and testimonials as a home builder, as well as our one phone call. I had booked a cabin in Dawsonville for 10 days, was planning on meetings with Mr. Zuckerman, two other area home builders and a realtor. That same day, another opportunity to build a house in another state presented itself.
I emailed Mr. Zuckerman to let him know. Rather than responding by wishing me well (as another area builder did), Mr. Zuckerman's response was a hateful and vindictive email calling me deceitful as well as other unflattering name calling. I've since deleted his spam; I also blocked him from further emails. I hadn't even met the man, much less opted to hire him to build my home.
I am so glad his true character shone through. If I ever do build in north Georgia, it won't be with Mr. Zuckerman.
He kept emailing me, obviously has underlying issues going on; I hope he gets the help I think he needs. He bragged about having more money than he can spend in two lifetimes, being on two non-profit boards and other irrelevant things.
Your experiences, should you choose to contact him, may differ. I hope so. But there are many good builders in the area. Choose wisely.
