    Replace my roof

Run, as fast as you can away from this company. They installed a roof on my home and then it began to leak. First in my bathroom, then my living room. Dark brown water marks that deepen each time it rains. I had no leaking issues for the seventeen years prior to using Storm Kings. Called them and got a rep to come he insisted the cause was not their work. They do not have any kind of guarantee on their work and you will be treated very poorly by their reps. They are rude and belligerent. Very terrible to deal. I have a huge costly problem I’m faced with because if their incompetence. Do not use this company.

Reshingle a Queen Anne type house
    $7,500

Seemed fine at first then devolved into me , at 61, having to repeatedly go up onto my roof to see that they did it wrong and making them actually do the big part they ignored, redo the other part they did totally wrong, then do it correctly because they were redoing it wrong..Then see that they had done the first part wrong but had finally corrected that when the project managers had actually finally both bothered to show up and look. Though I STILL have to go caulk the 4 foot seam they forgot, and the area that spills over the soffet that they can't figure out how to remedy...because they can't do anything more complicated than slapping shingles on simple slopes.

For 4 months I talked nonstop about 3 areas of concern I had that I specifically needed addressed that might prove problematic if they weren't known in advance so that the right supplies were on hand and the actual roofers knew what to do. Ian repeatedly assured me that they knew what they were doing ..I texted Brandon - the project manager, talked to Sergio - guy in charge of the roofers who is the only guy who can talk their language....and everybody gave me the same promises of competence and then totally fluffed it up.

I wasn't told I was scheduled, I was just surprised one day by a pile of shingles in the driveway right before the July 4th weekend. I had specifically asked for notification so I could get the day off, which is impossible after a holiday weekend. Ian ASSURED me that they were coming on Monday am. even though it was a holiday. At 9 when they still hadn't showed Ian laughed it off and said it's actually Tuesday, ha, why you so mad? When they showed up Tuesday I couldn't stay so they left and finally rescheduled a month later.

Then Brandon actually showed up and again reassured me that they all knew about my concerns and would take pictures of the areas..As they were getting ready to leave I looked out the attic and saw they had not done anything to the flat area with 20 year old cracked tar that I wanted covered with Base. Texted Brandon, who texted Sergio who told them to go cover that area...and it was a a slap dash effort..(It was also the wrong material to be exposed I found out later. Because when they finally redid it it was now covered with material that wasn't slick but granular..and the job was nicer even though they forgot to stick down a large length of edge. Brandon later told me that there is no difference in material the supplier just sends whatever...Google says that's not correct)
They also left a pile of debris, so I again texted Brandon who tried to say tomorrow but I wouldn't be home to open the gate, so they had to come back.

I asked for pictures of the other place since I couldn't see it, and though I was told someone would go up and get them nobody bothered to come back. So I had to buy a ladder and go look and found that they'd shingled over the flat area. That is not OK. I sent the pic to Ian who told me that that was not what that was. And besides he doesn't remember ever talking about these two flat areas and he thought that they were just to ignore those places...that I'd been talking about for 4 months, to everyone, BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE THE LEAKS ARE! So now I'm screaming at Ian because he's trying to evade all responsibilty and he's loudly talking up a storm and still won't listen. He's still bringing up Rain and Ice Guard which they aren't even using on my job..And it's still my fault according to him, because they certainly did nothing wrong. Because, what, experienced roofers routinely just ignore areas they don't understand?

Brandon said Oh, that's wrong...And the next day I was surprised by the roofers being back and trying to reroof the area by laying base over the shingles instead of tearing them off..Again contacted Brandon since Ian is just useless..And now Brandon comes over and Sergio and they both go up on the roof. This is when the front part gets recovered correctly and I noticed that it's a different type of Base roll. I get some pictures this time but I'm still going to have to go back up there to look for myself since I don't trust these guys at all.

And I still have to go back up there and caulk the area they missed and install drip edge on the area that they , as experienced roofers, can't figure out how to remedy.

SO there's no communication between sales and project managers and actual roofers. The materials dropped off didn't correlate to what was on the contract or what was required. Anything other than simple slopes are beyond the workers, and nobody will bother to inform anyone what's going on, and they sure will not listen to a customer..

They will do you dirty and walk away unless you can catch them at it.
