Storm Shield

Six windows put in by Storm Shield. Three windows leaking. This is not a small leak, it's water running in under the cauking on the windowsill. They never got any permit for this job. They won't answer their phone. They got the money. Don't know where to turn or what to do about them. I had this company do impact windows in the front of my house, never had a problem. The father ran the company at that time, I was told. The son runs the company now. That just might be the problem. Charlotte Fisher

I ordered my windows and entrance door on September 14, 2021, prepaying 50% of the price. Seven months later I cannot get anyone on the phone to even talk about the delivery date. Seems like a Ponzi scheme. Buyers beware!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! On June 17, 2021, my husband and I gave this company $8500.00 as a down payment for impact doors for our lanai. We were told we would have the doors in approximately 120-150 days. 7 months later not only did we not have our doors but our contact didn't have the decency to call us and tell us the ETA of the doors or project, etc. I had been contacting him and the company through the entire seven months. We did get our money back but we wasted so much time. We now found a great company to do the work that uses the same manufacturer that Storm Shield used for the doors and they are wonderful so we clearly know it wasn't the manufacturer, it was Storm Shield. Do yourself a favor, do not use Storm Shield for impact glass doors. They are totally unprofessional!

It has been 209 days since I ordered windows and doors. Storm Shield has yet to contact me unless I call them asking for answers. Then they say they will get back to me and never do. They have $24000 of my money and will not tell me when I will get my windows/doors.

In November of 2017 after Hurricane Irma I had windows and doors put in by Storm Shield. The windows & doors have helped with noise reduction and reduced my energy bill substantially. The installation process was smooth and the windows and doors look amazing. I had a great experience and strongly recommend Storm Shield for anyone looking at purchasing Hurricane Windows and Doors.

If you want to hear from 12 unhappy customers, Storm Shield was all talk and no action, they made too many promises and a 2 week project still hasn't been completed. It's been over a 1 year that one of the windows that was installed was broken and still hasn't been replaced with the owner had payed in full.

Taking out the old windows was rather messy, but Storm Shield did a good job. Because he couldn't put all the windows in on the day he removed the old ones, he only did what could be replaced that day. He was working alone, and I think there usually are 2. We're very satisfied with the windows. We had a problem with one, but it was taken care of. Plus, our electric bills has come down (a little).

Saw a rep at a fest going on and told her i'm not looking for windows now but wouldn't hurt to get a quote. Sales guy named John comes to house and was very rude. I have a gf but since she was not there he did not want to do appointment. I said it was my decision. He went on and on about how the 2nd person needs to be here (even though this is my house only). I said I still wanted a price today, since he was already there. Then since I said I was just shopping around and getting ideas on how much I need to save up, he became a complete jerk and said i'll give you a price, but it's the one year price not the today price, so you will never call me back. He gave me a price quickly but wouldn't leave me a quote nor any company info. Horrible customer service. I would never call him after the way he talked to me nor would I refer the company due to how I was treated.
