Ordered the construction of the house. Was dissatisfied with everything! The quality of the material - tin, boards thin, solid knots, from half they just fell out of the construction and you can see the vapor barrier. All walls of the house are cluttered and all to the same degree (measured different levels, went nuts when they started to lay the tile).
Because the builders used the level, I can assume that it is faulty. In other matters, like most of the tools that brought the boys (I honestly feel sorry for them). A chainsaw with a dull chain is a masterpiece. Left her and sawed everything by hand.
A special surprise was when I saw guys pounding the slopes of the Windows, and beneath a hole in the street. On the question of why zapenili, said foam bad. When I took the bottle, began to froth and foam flow down like soap water, dirtying the window. Called the master, he said that they are complaining about materials, but they can't hear, I asked to the coordinates to office, at the office, we were sent to production, gave several numbers which never for a week, no one answered. Total, went, bought two containers of foam were asked to reveal what is already nailed and well propenal (by the way, I'm not sure that this is done, control could not).
This claim does not end, half of the Windows (take wooden) was not closed already when building the house, or rather closed, but if you knock or to apply force (the wife herself could not). The builders made a helpless gesture, said it comes from the factory. Now (a month later) was even worse, one window not opening.
When diluted sewage, sawed a hole in the corner of the room (only the floor Board) and then the through hole to the outside, insulation in the angle is not put, the bottom was open. How many more such surprises waiting for me - a mystery (it is the architect where they don't experiment on customers. They just always make "good"). The stairs to the second floor so nailed that split the base, the same upstairs, with an axe at is tailored to the rough opening (no closed).
The only reason I took this house it was necessary to urgently address the issue of housing. I do not recommend! -

Structureline is the best contractor experience I have had so far -- with any construction project there will be quirks and things to work out, but Ed and Nicolas always felt like partners through the entire process. My Husband and I also enjoy doing things ourselves, though we were limited by our co-op's rules, but Ed and Nicolas worked with us on what we did want to do (painting, assembly of built-in shelves, etc.).
I hired them for a interior renovation of a co-op apartment built around 1950-1960 with plaster walls. The renovation encompassed kitchen, bathroom, flooring, the construction of a walk-in closet, and skim coating the walls. Also, the apartment had very little built-in lighting, so we asked them to install track lighting in the apartment as well. We did not use a designer, but we did provide them with drawings for the kitchen cabinet layouts and lighting as well as measurements for the walk-in closet. We also purchased almost all of the materials and furnishings for installation.
They installed everything as asked and worked with us on addressing any quirks they found in the unit (e.g., walls not straight making installation of something difficult, etc.).. What impressed me though are the small touches that we did not ask for -- several electrical outlets were installed into the kitchen that were not asked for but I am really GRATEFUL that they did. They also took time to straighten handles, knobs, light fixtures, replace vent covers, among other small touches.
They are definitely using technology to their fullest, with Ed being available via email as well as texting. He was usually very quick to reply, snapping photos of any problems or questions and sending to me.
Nicholas has a great problem solving mind, coming up with different ways to approach what we wanted in the bathroom, kitchen, and living room.
I would definitely recommend them after this experience. -

Our neighbor was doing some repair work on his decks and used them. So when we needed to replace some crumbling stairs with new concrete stairs and do some other structural work, of course I asked him about his experience and he said they were great. In the course of the job, they ran into some extended dry rot (apparently, the prior contractor used non-pressure treated wood) which caused the job to take longer than estimated, but they stayed on the job until it was done and did not revise the bid.
Structureline new stairs and replacement of some railroad ties on the other side, we had some critters who had taken residence in our basement. When the original builders of the house put up the property, they left the tree roots which have since rotted away resulting in a series of tunnels. So not only did we need new stairs, they had to trench all around the house to seal all the tunnels. Also, we wanted to make sure they didn't harm any of the little guys when they put up the stairs and sealed the property, and asked them to keep an eye out for little noses and whiskers and let us know if they saw any so we could trap and relocate them. Instead of laughing at us, the construction guys put little wadded paper balls in the tunnels the day before they trenched to see if they were pushed out (meaning the tunnels were occupied). :)
The bid Structureline Construction gave us was a little higher than the other bid we got, but nonetheless, they were so responsive and given our neighbor's experience, we wanted to go with them so we asked them point blank if they could match the bid. They came out again, reviewed the other bid, and said Yes.
Once they started the job, they came every day until it was done and came the very day I called to ask them to do one small touch up after they completed it. The stairs look pretty nice. On top of that, our railroad-type stairs on the other side were creosote-laced, rather than the safer and less toxic forms of pressure-treated wood and they replaced some of those with the safer form because they did not want to poison the creek that runs through our property, at cost to them, but none to us.
Pretty shocked by some of these reviews. Obviously, I can't speak to them, but this was not our experience.

A great company with a great team. I am frequently using contractors for different projects in New York City for my new projects, and is really complicated to oversee and coordinate several projects at the same time when you’re looking for the right quality.. I have met Nicolas several years ago since then I am always using his professional assistance to coordinate the subcontractors work..
