Do your due diligence and research on this company. This company has the absolute worst workmanship I have ever seen.
I purchased a townhouse built by Alan Sturkey and have had nothing but issues since day one of our move.
For quite some time our homes were blocked off by the city because the builder built over an easement, this took months and caused many problems. How does an experienced builder make an error like this? This took months to finally resolve.
That caused many of us to have issues with discoloration of our water in addition to so so many insects. Shortly after that our shower/tub began to leak, extremely bad. It showed signs of leaking through the ceiling. This went on from mid September until the week before Thanksgiving. Each time my sons and all of with jobs and one son in college, it was hard trying to continue reschedule times/days to get this fix. They continued using "quick fixes and cheap materials that DID ABSOLUTELY nothing but keep causing leaks UNTIL finally a new tub had to be ordered, which truly should have been the first option instead of trying the cheapest possible way, which only consumed time and enormous frustration.
On Christmas day yet another issue with the molding on top of the kitchen cabinets. I went to get something down barely touching the molding and ALL OF IT STARTED falling down. As we looked at what was SUPPOSED to be holding it together, these could NOT HAVE BEEN NAILS. We have pictures of everything. I sent the pictures to him, my realtor, and one of Alan's workers, Kevin. Understand that yes, I am tired and extremely FRUSTRATED which was evident in my text. However SEEING THE PICTURES AND these "staples " for lack of a better term, even having seen this Alan the owner, hasn't responded HOWEVER, his worker Kevin does respond. Kevin's text read "sounds like she can't afford it ". I was livid! You see what we are showing you, and that is what he took from that? My finances is NO ONES business! How unprofessional among other things! To have the immature mindset to see those pictures AND KNOW all of the mess we have been dealing with since day one, he deflects to me AND MY FINANCES.
When they worked on the water issues there were things left broken that WEREN'T broken when we purchased the home but broken because THEY HAD TO fix their work, and all they really could have done about breaking things was to simply tell me, the homeowner, make me aware of this stuff. Now I have to keep fighting with them and don't get me started on the HOA, Palmetto Homeowner Association. They do nothing and respond to NOTHING.
AGAIN, do your homework, talk to anyone who lives in any construction built by this company. It would serve you well.
I read a review where one person commented "Flimsy construction with little to no insulation"
And this is exactly right!!!!!
