I am done with Sullivan Homes! Everything in these 2 reviews are true. I was so excited to be building my own home. Now I just want to sell it. I have never been treated so poorly by a business in my life. I'm in this business myself and I have never treated a customer the way I have been treated here. The worst offender was Shaun Sullivan - apparently he's the owner??? I've got a great recorded conversation if you want to be shocked for 64 minutes (my only conversation with him ever). He told me he's only ever had one person that complained and she was crazy - then he suggested I be friends with her. Yup, firings happening all the time and he's running his employees ragged to save money on a full team. There are a few good apples in the bunch but the rest follow Shaun's philosophy - "The customer is always wrong and I'm right"....PS I've got your money you sucker! PSS I don't have to build the pool until the end! I'm dreaming up other reviews for other platforms so I can get the word out.

4 of the 6 houses built by Sullivan on my street have the same complaint as we do, this builder is dishonest. That should tell you something. Only the cheapest quality products are included in the original house cost and to get anything good, you have to upgrade, which costs money and in some cases like garage doors, you have to pay the full extra cost to get anything other that what was included. Dishonest example #1: Mistakes happen, we are all human, but Sullivan will lie about the cause of the mistake, lie about the available solutions to the mistake, and do everything they can to dump the mistake and the cost of it on the home buyer. We experienced this again and again throughout the home building process. Dishonest example #2: Sullivan required us to sign a selections document upfront where we agreed to the selections on the house and the cost for each with a penalty fee if we made any changes to those selections later on. Sullivan, however, was not agreeing to anything on that document. In other words, they could change both the product and cost of the selections for any reason without any accountability. This happened multiple times throughout the building process of our house. This one sided agreement was intentionally left out of the conversations by Sullivan as we found out toward the end of the building process. One of our 4 concerned neighbors stated these same complaints and added that, due to the extreme frustration the dishonesty from this builder caused her, she was no longer excited to move into her brand new home. We do not recommend this builder.

It looked like a good deal in the beginning. In the end it was a nightmare. If could go back I would RUN AWAY from this terrible company. During our build they fired everyone that worked with us. That should tell you something. Once they get your money, it’s game over. They will not help you. Any warrantee item is YOUR FAULT! Way better builders out there.
