Normally I would give this contractor 5 Stars. He worked for us 2013 and worked for us for 5 years. His work was very good, or.I wouldn't have kept him after the first job. He did around $400,000 - $450,000 worth of work. All went well and he stood by his work until this year. The last project he did for us was a front porch and bringing out our front door giving us a foyer. We never cut corners on cost, materials, etc... On our porch we went with cedar, quite expensive, but the balusters, I didn't know at the time was made with white pine. The wood wasn't sealed properly, and I had them put on several coats of paint. A year later, I caulked and.painted again, as I did again the following year. The first year, noticed some black thinking it was mildew. The next year was much worst. I still attempted to caulk and paint, but it did no good because it had soft spots and areas of rot. I notified Tim Summey. I finally got him and Saul here at my home to look at the 'mess'. He said it shouldn't have done that, took measurements of the balusters, said he'd be in touch, and left. One of the last things he said he'd do is give me a check for $1000. That would no way cover the cost to fix this the way it should have been done in the first place. The last I heard from Tim was approximately 6 weeks ago. He will not answer messages, phone calls, or emails ( sent on his website). When he needed funds for the job(s), we paid him on the spot, never having to wait. This is not the kind of work I call professional. I will not use Tim again, for anything. I am very particular, and look at everything. Because of our word and previous experience, he had gotten several jobs from people in our church. The only reason I am giving a 2 Star, is for the good work he did.
