Bessent, John William Jr
I hired Sunnyland Builders a year and a half ago (2023). I am currently in my 18 month of construction with about 75% completed. I have had many excuses and reasons as to why this project has been delayed. I have grown to be very untrusting of John "Sunny" Bessent to to his lack of work and his unwillingness to pay subs on time. I have received 2 Notice to Owners and several calls that invoices aren't being paid. He's always got an excuse for everything and doesn't accept any responsibility. I know that he owes S and S Garage Doors in Haines City $2000 for a garage door he received for a build. He refuses to pay them because he states he wasn't paid. I have also spoken with the subs about his delays in payment. He even wrote Green Well Drilling in Lakeland a bad check for $12K. If you decide to hire him, know he will screw you over at some point. You are welcome to contact me via email if you need to see the quality of his work or receive some proof. I have in excess of 700 text messages from conversations.
