We had Sunrun install our panels in 2015 shortly after they started installing systems in-house rather than contracting out the job. They had some start up issues that we documented and discussed with the person in charge of installations. He was very concerned about the problems and fixed everything, including previously promised things like changing the conduit run so it was not visible. We also had problems with responsiveness with the sales manager. Sunrun replaced her with a more experienced and helpful person.
All that said, we are very pleased with the installed system and the responsiveness of the company since then. The system is now exactly what they told us it would be and we are saving more than 20% of the cost of electricity. We have had no problems with the system since it has been up and operating.
I am hoping they learned a lot and have improved their installation performance. I would be surprised if they haven't.

The actual installation of my solar panels by Sunrun went very well. What people need to know is that it is a LONG process. You need approval from your HOA, you need permits from the county, you need to have your roof inspected also. From the time I decided to get the solar panels to the time I stared generating electricity was about 8 months.
All and all I am happy with my solar panels. The most electricity they've generated was about 1000 kWh. In the winter the lowest was about 200kwh.
