Avoid this vendor at all costs.
We asked for a contemporary scored concrete look as part of our new pool install. Deck was installed Oct/Nov 2019. They installed 850sf of concrete without a single control joint. The deck cracked in a matter of days and continues to crack more and more every week. Upon complaining, the vendor took no responsibility for their failures to install the deck properly.
*Does concrete crack? Yes it does.
*Should it crack immediately? Not likely if properly installed. Control joints would have been helpful.
*While homeowners should be understanding of a remodel process, is it really the responsibility of the homeowner to police every aspect of a install for a vendor that represents themselves as an expert in their field? Likely not.
*Is it highly possible this vendor will deflect and pass the responsibility to someone else? Very likely.
Careful what you wish for.
