Superior Tank and Energy Services: Personal Review re: recent new tank installation
[12/12/2024]
On 12/12/2024, Dave (senior service technician) and assistant Aiden arrived at our home exactly on time. They spent a few minutes evaluating the necessary work which is a bit more complex because our home is situated in the Delaware River Flood Plain. Due to repeated flooding the house was ‘elevated’ in 2006. The living space is now more than 10 feet above grade. The oil burner was elevated with the house, but the oil tank sits on a cement slab at ground level.
This job required expertise beyond the norm: replacing the vertical oil feed line from the tank up to the elevated shed into the oil burner, installing a new ‘tiger loop’, correcting some installation errors committed by a previous technician from a different company. It was also necessary to do some ‘custom work’ on the cement oil tank slab because the footprint and required attachment sites for the ‘old tank’ did not exactly match the new tank. Beyond this, Dave took the time to re-install “heat tape” removed with the ‘old oil line’. He then re-insulated the entire 10 foot vertical run from the tank to the burner. These final steps were ‘not in the contract’ and there was no additional charge for them.
I could not be more pleased with the final result. Superior Tank and Energy has my highest endorsement without reservation. Their services were less expensive than other companies who bid on the exact same job, and their quality of initial contact, on site inspection, contract estimate, and job completion were of the highest quality.
