We chose Soapstone Mist from Q Quartz for our island with a waterfall leg, paired with Pure White Contrast Quartz for the perimeter counters. This combination turned out beautifully! Although it was ultimately our decision, Surface Systems provided excellent guidance to help us choose the materials. The staff at the office were friendly, and the installers did an outstanding job. Even though they weren't fluent in English, their professionalism and craftsmanship spoke volumes. Highly recommended!

I worked with this company through Home Depot, and it was a huge nightmare from start to finish. The seams on my countertops are extremely harsh and stick up, which is both unsightly and dangerous. When I left a review, they pretended to offer to fix it "for free." However, when I followed up, I received an email saying, and I quote, that fixing it would "look way worse" and that they "might break my cabinets" in the process. On top of that, they stated they wouldn’t be liable if any damage occurred. I’m so disappointed in the lack of professionalism and accountability. I expected much better, especially through a trusted retailer like Home Depot.

By Clarence K.June 28, 2023Outdoor kitchen counter$4,500
Worked with them through Home Depot. They installed a counter top for an outdoor kitchen. The counter had a bow in it over 3/4 inch in the middle. Company came back several times before saying they needed to rip it all out at a cost of $1000 to me. Home Depot has also been absolutely useless in helping. Lawsuit in the works. Do not hire they are hacks!

By Sean C.April 3, 2023Manufacture and install solid surface tops
Worst solid surface company I have ever dealt with. They receive a sketch wait until a day or two before installation to call you with an $800 increase in price. Extremely unethical but apparently they have done this many times before. If there is going to be an up charge on your countertop you should know within days of submitting your sketch. Not a day or two before installation when people are anxious and desperate to get their new countertop installed. Apparently to date no one has the funds to fight these people in court but that is not a problem for me this will be an easy win!!!!

Initial contact with Surface Systems was handed well. The person they sent out to do the template measurements was very thorough and let us know in advance anything he thought might be an issue. None of which were our actual issues. The installers on the other hand were awful. Upon coming home to see my new counters installed I immediately noticed my sink was crooked. After further inspection I found a 1/4 inch gap along an entire back section of the counter where it was supposed to meet the wall as it did on all other sides. We were not installing a backsplash which they knew. Then I looked up and found a chunk taken out of my brand new cabinets. I emailed Fran to make her aware as I was not on property during the install. Her response to me was that we must have moved the counter before it was fully dried and there was no damage or gap shown in the installer's pictures. If they were to return to assess they would have to charge me. This was nowhere near acceptable. The counter was pinned in on one side by a wall. They made the cut to attach it to the wall/refrigerator built in which was clearly an error which caused everything to shift. We didn't return home until almost 6 hours after install, and I never put a finger on the counter. I requested to see her pictures so I could prove had theirs been at the same angle as mine (which I sent her) it would have shown. I also offered to send the video from our home cameras that showed not only did the damage happen by them but they were aware of it and didn't say anything. Crickets! I had to reach out to Home Depot for resolution which they handled perfectly and are in the process of replacing my cabinet door. If your people make a mistake own it and address it with them. After a $30K reno the last thing a customer wants to do is replace a brand new cabinet door they haven't even gotten to use. Never mind the messy uneven seam on a countertop that cost over $3K, a crooked sink, a gap we now have to hide and the fact one of your guys walked through our house to seek out a bathroom and emptied his bowels in our personal bathroom rather than the guest bathroom (15 minutes in our bathroom I'd like to think that's all he was doing). The cabinet door was really what upset me. Luckily Home Depot was there to do the right thing.

I worked with Surface Systems as a subcontractor for Home Depot. They templated and installed my countertop and backsplash. Camella in the office is terrific - on top of everything and very accommodating. Our installers Henrique and Marco were professional, courteous and frankly, were artists in their craft. They had to deal with an antique house with no straight walls and uneven floors, but really made it all work beautifully. Having dealt with a different Home Depot subcontractor for cabinet installation, I have no qualms in saying the two experiences were at different ends of the spectrum. Surface Systems gets 5 stars, the cabinet installers are at minus 10. Hope Home Depot recognizes a winner here.

I recently had Quartz Gray Q Quartz Soapstone Mist installed in my kitchen, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The countertop is absolutely stunning – the design is modern and sleek, with a perfect balance of white on the perimeter and a beautiful gray tone on the island. The combination of the two colors really enhances the space and gives it a sophisticated look.
Working with Surface Systems in RI was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The team was professional and knowledgeable, helping me choose the right material and guiding me through the entire process. They truly know their stuff when it comes to quartz countertops!
The installers were amazing as well. They were punctual, efficient, and detail-oriented, ensuring that everything was perfectly aligned. The quality of the craftsmanship is top-notch, and the countertop has been a great addition to my home.
If you're considering new countertops, I highly recommend Surface Systems in RI. The selection is great, the team is a pleasure to work with, and the finished product exceeded my expectations.
