  We recently used DH Sutphin to renovate our house that was built in 1958. Don and his sub-contractors were great and they got the work done quickly, especially in the middle of the pandemic. He had fabulous ideas and his recommendations helped us save money. Don is a great guy and there is nothing he can't do or hasn't built before. We highly recommend DH Sutphin Builders,

  Don Sutphin built two additions (a bedroom and a kitchen ) to our 1947 home in 2017 and did a beautiful job. He paid attention details and made the whole home flow together seamlessly. He went above and beyond to renovate an old fireplace and turn it into a functional fireplace in the kitchen space. An upstair attic space was also turned into useful space as a playroom. His years of experience in the business proved insightful and he was easy to work with throughout.
  He most recently (2021) worked on renovating three bathrooms for us and we could be more pleased with their beauty and utility. I would highly recommend his work, his attention to detail and his professionalism.

  Bought a new construction home from him

  Absolute worst experience I have had with a contractor. He built our townhomes and left us all here to pick up the pieces. Refuses to come back and warranty any of his work. Too prideful to admit that something he did could have been done wrong. Too cheap to allow professionals to install cabinets, doing it himself to save a few bucks and void the warranty we were told we had on our cabinets. Busted sewer clean out took him a full month to get out and repair. The home is not water tight and somehow blames that on us while refusing to actually look at the issue as water leaks around our doors and into the wood floor also causing black mold behind our baseboards. You tell others he did poor work and he threatens to sue you for defamation. I have been threatened with a lawsuit 3 times now as well as others in the neighborhood. I have a legal case against him but his record shows he'll simply file for bankruptcy and change the company name so he never has to follow through
