Szarko Construction replaced our sliding glass patio door. We got three estimates for the job, and found the other two businesses to be pushy and overbearing with their sales pitch, so Szarko was the right fit for us. They were professional, organized, pleasant, and respectful of our home. The job was done in the time they specified, having to special order our door, and at the price we were quoted. Joe and his workers were great and we are very happy with the the door and the installation. Would use them again, and highly recommend.

We had Szarko Builders do a few different projects over the last few years. They completely remodeled our kitchen, they turned our garage and basement into a family room and built a deck around our pool. With each project, they made sure that the space they were working on was was cleaned and the tools and equipment put away. This made it livable and as unintrusive as possible. The quality of craftsmanship was outstanding and we have never had a problem. We have recommended them to friends and family.

We renovated two bathrooms over the last couple months. Joe visited us and quickly gave estimates for the jobs. The various contractors he used were very good in all aspects. The work was done and completed on the scheduled time frame. Any issues discovered were resolved in a timely fashion. Joe came highly recommended and i will add to that recommendation.

From the outset, working with Joe was effortless and a pleasure. His estimate and scope of the job showed how much he really listened to my 'vision'. The kitchen remodel was our first project, and from beginning to completion (6 days ahead of schedule!!), Joe make it a pleasure! Everyday his crew arrived on time, and when they left, the place was swept and clean! Joe listened to all of my concerns and responded in a timely way. All of his 'sub' contractors were professional and polite. Every aspect of the job was done perfectly, truly exceeding my expectations! We recently moved to a new home and when we decided to replace an old, broken exterior sliding door we were told it could not be removed without extensive work due to the home settling over time. Thankfully, Szarko Builders was recommended to us by my parents, who have used them with confidence for interior and exterior remodels. Joe came promptly to assess the issue, and his team was able to remove and replace our door without unnecessary damage, expense, or work to the rest of our home. He was very clear about what the job entailed/costs along the way. The job was done professionally, timely, and with excellent communication. We will definitely be hiring Joe and Szarko Builders again when we are ready to do more projects in our home!

Szarko Builders are wonderful! We first hired Joe 5 years ago for a large outdoor renovation project (replaced our roof, all windows, shutters, siding, flashing, garage doors, front doors, stoop & rebuilt our chimney). Joe oversaw every aspect of the project. He and his skilled subcontractors do extremely high quality work. They are extremely conscientious. Joe is very organized-his contract was detailed and there were no surprises after the fact. Throughout the 4 month duration of the project, Joe was great at communicating and always very willing to accommodate my many changes along the way! On several occasions, when issues arose after hours, he was available through txts and calls. We were so pleased with the final result, process and level of professionalism, that when our basement recently flooded, we called Joe immediately. His expert knowledge, reassurance and kindness really helped decrease the stress surrounding the flood. He was able to put us on his schedule to rebuild quickly and I'm happy to report that our newly renovated basement is now even more beautiful than the original! Joe is a pleasure to work with--we would highly recommend him and plan to use him again for all future projects!

We had a major kitchen renovation, and Joe did an excellent job in all aspects of the project. He started on time and completed the project within his set time frame and his original quote . In fact, Joe brought one issue to our attention near the end of the project, and improved it at no additional cost to us. His communication throughout the project was very good and the quality of his work is outstanding. Highly recommended!!

Using Uber has taught me that when you have a great experience with a service provider, it makes a lot of sense to share the experience on line. So, here it goes. Szarko Builders has done several projects for us over the years - a new roof, new siding, and most recently a wonderful new deck, stairs, and balcony. Joe and his associates do incredible work and are an absolute pleasure to deal with. He explains the process, the timing, the dependencies, and the cost. Then, he meets his commitments. We have recommended Szarko builders many, many times and will continue to do so. It seems someone is always needing a contractor they can trust. It feels great to know one who I'd recommend without reservation.

Good experience tho took longer than expected. All workers were polite, efficient, cleaned up after work. Took precautions not to scratch,mar or dirty anything in rooms. Had 2 baths remodeled.... one totally & second one just changed vanities, counters. Everything was put back in place after painting, all accessories hung, all signs of work removed & looks great. Joe was good abt returning calls & keeping us posted on who was coming & what was being done for the month. Very pleased. M Mazeffa

Joe Szarko did a wonderful job on our kitchen rebuild - he listened to and improved upon my existing ideas, was respectful of the budget we had given and was great at coming up with solutions to the issues that our 1940s home’s existing odd structure raised. The reno was even completed exactly on time (right before Thanksgiving!) despite a delay caused by an issue outside anyone’s control. The subs he worked with all did a very good job, and were courteous. I highly recommend Szarko as a contractor, the work was well done and we are THRILLED with our new kitchen!
