If your smart don't ever have dealings with this guy, Tony Stanley. He still owes me money for the crappy job he tried to do building me a patio. He was on the job one day & I had to fire him but unfortunately I paid him a good amount of cash up-front and has yet to return it. He told us he knew how to install a patio and we trusted him but when I saw he only cleared about 2" of sod and dirt from the area then put 1"-2" of screening down to support the pavers I figured I knew more than he did. He and his help did not dig down the required 6"-8" for a foundation of crushed stone so you can put the screening or sand on top of it. When asked why he didn't dig down the required amount he told me that the ground was hard enough and didn't need a stone base. He also kept changing the price of the job several times because the original pavers he promised he could not get from his "guy". When he came back with other samples from the local home improvement store I knew I had to get rid of him. Chalk it up as a hard lesson learned. Now I'm stuck with no patio.
At the same time I had him sealcoat my driveway, which is suppose to be his specialty, for $80.00 which is another issue but found out from my neighbors that he offered to blacktop their driveways for a discount if he got 5 people together. He told my neighbor he would only charge them $80.00, the same amount he charged me to do one driveway.
Stay away!!
