  1. Doesn't do quality work, Nowhere near the picture or promise he makes for job
  2. Never on schedule or time. Just desperate to get the job.
  3. Is not professional.

  I had a very similar start to my project with T&K. No real contract and lot's of promises. On the second day, Mateo said that he needed more money to complete the job. He had not started yet. I'm sensitive to businesses and the COVID complications at this time. I said OK and I paid him half of the full asking price of the job.
  The job was to provide me with a new driveway, walk and repair the city sidewalk at the end of my driveway. He told me that the job would take 1 week. Mateo was very quick to tear out my old driveway, walk and sidewalk. His estimate included much more sidewalk than he removed so I guess I was paying for work he was not going to do.
  Mateo seemed to be doing my job during his time off from his real job.
  When he tore out my driveway and walkway, he had no regard for my neighbor's land or for my plants and yard.
  Mateo came and went when he saw fit and never said what he would do and when he would do it. After the tear out was complete and some hasty forms put up, all work stopped. Mateo said he could not pour concrete below 50 degrees. This not true according to professionals I've talked with since. He did not seem to know how to work with the city and I pretty much took over communication with Bellevue.
  After over a month of inaction, I decided that I had made a mistake hiring T&K and I decided to extricate myself from the contract. At the first sign of "trouble" Mateo wanted to pour concrete. I would not let him do that. I finally got out but it cost me since I paid him for the shoddy work he had done.
  Look before you leap and if it sounds too good or too cheap....

  Driveway, retaining wall , sidewalk, and drain

  T&K Concrete. Was very through looking for a licensed company to do a 2 car driveway, French drain, side parking, retaining wall and side walk. Mateo had 14 good reviews on Angies list and was reasonably priced. Shows up a few days later than planned due to equipment issues. No contract in hand and was ready for 50% deposit. Started demolition with a couple workers and seemed to be moving along on a job he said was 7 days. Hi noticed he wasn’t doing the demo of the side walk but the training g wall. This was very clear in the initial quote but was omitted on his part. He removed the side walk that day and then that evening sent a message he wanted another $1000 for the side walk. We agreed but he was to do a small amount of curbing on the side parking. It was all down hill from here. He worked alone most days when he showed. I had to show him how to do the french drain correctly so he removed his work and started over. This went on for 2-1/2 months and each time he showed wanted more money. He ended up pouring the driveway in sections that didn’t make sense and the wall was so bad he skim coat it. We had several discussions about getting this finished. The quality of the driveway was terrible from the compacting to the finish work. He finally showed to seal the driveway and back spray the coloring. He got coloring all over his shoes and walked over the driveway and sealed it with stains and boot prints. I fired him before he finished sealing but by this time he had all but the last $2k. It’s been just a year now and I have so many cracks and the skim coat is falling off the wall. He tore up my neighbors yard, each time he redid the forms for the wall he drilled more holes in the siding of my house.
  Do Not Hire Mateo (Waikato Tauatevalu) you will regret this as much as I did and a waste of $17k
