T.S. Hanging and Finishing

Thomas did bathroom repairs that turned into nearly $10,000 before it was all finished. We kept running into what seemed to be legitimate problems and we believed him. After he finished and months later we started having the same slow leak that we started with. Called him several times and he said he’d come look at it. That was October 2020 and tried again in January 2021. Beware as he does not stand behind his work. Also, not sure everything he did was necessary. So dissatisfied and will definitely use a reputable company for next renovation.

Tom just re-did our garage ceiling as part of an insulation upgrade and we're very pleased. He was able to start quickly, completed the work fast and in the estimated time, and it looks substantially better than before. I highly recommend him.

Tom has done an excellent job replacing my textured ceiling with a smooth finish. He repaired he edging from ceiling to walls in both bathrooms and foyer. After checking out references, we hired Tom Serra. He assessed the work. We asked if he could give us an estimate. He did but explained that once he started, if he found the wall damage was more intensive than first visible and required further work, the costs could likely go up, all depending on what he found. We were home the entire time he worked on the wall and could see that he, in fact, would need to do a lot more to do the job right. He did the job in phases to allow time for drying. This can often take days, sometimes weeks.
Since we were home, he explained everything he was doing in detail and gave reasons why he did things a certain way.
Tom is not only knowledgeable about what is required for a job, but also, he does not cut corners so that his work is done correctly. He did everything except the final phase of painting. The wall looks terrific! Done by a professional!
The cost was only slightly more than my own guesstimate. Yes, we would sure hire him again.

After two prior ceiling joint repairs, I finally am confident that the job was done properly. Tom showed me that the propable reason that the seem was opening up was that the drywall itself was not tight. He set about screwing both edges down tight, then repairing the joint, and painting the entire ceiling. It looks great, and Tom protected everything from dust and paint splatter, then cleaned up. A job well done, and worth every penny.

Tom Serra is very detailed with his work. About ten years ago, he repaired water damage to a ceiling from a leaking shower in my home and the repair patch blended in amazingly well to the existing ceiling. Since then he has also performed renovation projects such as removing popcorn ceiling and updating it with a smooth surface. I especially liked and appreciated that Tom took precautions to keep the work area to a minimum and that he did such a great job cleaning up at the end of the job. I was very pleased with this work and Tom made it clear that he wanted to make sure I was 100% satisfied.
