I personally knew Tuan Tran for several years and was impressed by his sincerity. I hired him to redo my home and paid in advance. I have been waiting almost 2 years for him to complete the work with no success and little return contact by him. His biggest excuse before he stopped responding was COVID. He claimed that he and all his workers have had COVID the entire time. He also has never returned the key he had to construction access.

My experience with T Tran Custom Homes was a nightmare from the start. The day we signed the papers at the title company to begin the build Tran signed the papers with a smile, as soon as we got out in the parking lot he said he couldn't build it for that amount. Blamed it on material costs, which were going down at that time. After he hijacked us out of an extra 60K to start the build he took 2 extensions that cost me more money at the bank and he finally finished after 17 months which had a max finish date of 12 months. The framers were good, roofers, insulators, and countertop guys were good as well. Plumber had to be fired as he was incompetent, non licensed and lazy. If you are considering using Tran make sure Paul and Paul junior OCANAS do not install one piece of pipe on your property. He uses an electrical contractor J and M or J and L maybe owned by Ricky but Ricky has contracts with Home Depot and that is his priority. For the final 6 months of our build 2 painters worked on the house doing trim and constantly touching up. Jorge was awesome but he had to constantly follow trans nephew around and go over his work, I am still finding paint drips here and there after 6 months of living here. To top it off, Tran left for about 6 weeks vacation 2 weeks before our house was finished. I either had to trust his incompetent unskilled nephew to finish or pay the bank for another loan extension. So I let the "work" continue. Finally it was time for concrete driveway and sidewalk. I assumed it would be the square footage on the blueprint. But Tran said he only allowed for 800 square feet. Another BS story by this liar. So I had to get another loan for 35000 to finish the house so we could move in. 15000 for concrete and the rest for Tran. He never once showed me a receipt for and materials or labor, keeps saying his CPA has all receipts. We just got our fireplace trim installed 22 months after build started and 5 months after we moved in. Tran can build cabinets other than that he's just a 2 bit lying hustler. Signed the paperwork for the build at 540K, add another 60K, and another 35K so we could move in. I would not recommend this scammer to build a bird house
