  If there even was a 0 rating for this, it definitely would be a FAT 0. Den is a total scam & takes short cuts to get a job done that he can't even complete. To save everyone that has been scammed by this guy Den ( Takaconcrete ) please call me @ 253-590-8634. I want us all to collect as much evidence as possible, take his butt to court & sue the heck out of him. I will be going and try to get help from the Wa State Attorney Generals office as I am a veteran of the US Army. How dare this scum take advantage of people that worked hard to build and save up money to have dreams come true then he ruins it

  This company is a fraud, i will never recommend this company. They didn't finish their job, and his work is trash besides all the trash they left around the house including concrete splashed on my walls, windows and fence...

  Buyer beware!! Money stolen. I was accepting bids for a basement remodel (35k). The company gave us a competitive bid and we accepted. The Taka crew began working on the project. We started communicating with Den (Owner of Taka Concrete). Work started immediately and we were initially pleased with the progress.

  During this time Den requested money multiple times for the work. At one point he required a bigger amount that was required for the Kitchen. He said that this would be installed the following week. Around the beginning of January of 2020, all worked stopped. Workers came by the house in mid February, we were told there was a delay and they proceeded to collect their tools and left.

  Over the remaining year I had been in constant correspondence with Den to complete the job. The biggest and most glaring issue we have experienced, is that multiple promises were made to work on the project, which were not kept, and our money was stolen. This has caused a great deal of Anxiety for my family and I, as we were looking forward to having the additional finished space to use. Also I have paid Den a great deal of money which took me several years to save for this project. I will be taking him to court!!

  red Den in December of 2019, told me he will do a great job. I asked if the weather is ok to pour concrete now, he said we work all seasons with no problem, I trusted him and started the job. His crew did a lot of short cuts that I have to direct them and even I have to call Den many times to direct his people. They broke my drain at the drop spot while taking old concrete out - which he never fixed instead they covered it with concrete. I told Den to fix it, he said he will and he said he is going to show me a picture , which he never did. I signed the contract to include exposed aggregated finish, but he gave me a broom finished. When they finished they left me with numerous issues: they left me with uneven concrete to my front door, uneven concrete in front of my garage door which collects water and gets into my garage when it rains, they blocked my drain drop spot from my gutter without directing it away from the house which causes water to go into my garage as well, uneven concrete on the patio that collects water When it rains, unfinished curve that needs to be done in between my neighbors that needs to be done immediately because it causes extreme flooding into their driveway, i have to rush to get a lots of sands from Lowe’s to hold the flooding water.

  I told Den please come and do something about it, he sent his guy to place a temporary drain and told me he will come and will fish everything. He asked me to give him $500.00 to buy the materials to finish and that was the day before Christmas , I gave him the money, the next day he text me and said he is waiting for his guys at Home Depot, he stated I have the materials but they aren’t here yet I can’t do the job without them. Finally he told me his crew is on vacation, that They are with their family and we will do it after new year, I said ok - since then he never come back. We exchanged many text , he makes an excuse about the weather, I have been patient for the last 10 months he said he will come In April, never did, then May, then, the second week of June.I texted him that this is the second week of June and what his plans are ? he extended to July, Then to August, September now it is October never showed up. I am unhappy that he left me with lots of messes. The Concret looks old with stains and multiple cracks, it is only 10 months old. I just can’t imagine how it will look like in the next months . Will never recommend him to do the job. I have all his text. I can copy and paste if he wants too. From now on I will have my lawyer to deal with him.

  Den talks a lot. Then his crew does whatever they feel like doing whatever they get around to showing up. When they do show up they seem to have little idea of what they'll be doing.

  We had a variety of work done. the true failure so far is that within a week the driveway cracked all the way through and is now in 2 pieces. Right after that crack, another split the drive again. then a third and now a 4th. It's breaking apart.

  Naturally, he's been paid so he's gone. Will no longer communicate. Buyer beware.

  replace front approach and parking area

  Our project with Taka Concrete began in early June, 2020. Den talks a big story, but follow through is poor. His crews are amateurish, at best, with poor communication and guidance. Multiple mistakes and a re-pour left us with hazardous conditions at our front entry for many weeks. Three months later, Den and Taka Concrete have for all intents and purposes abandoned our project.
  We have now hired another concrete company to correct the deficiencies.
  Do not hire this company. Very disappointing!

  Full Concrete backyard, patio, Firepit and pressure wash

  This company was great to deal with! I let them do there thang! I told them what I wanted to be able to do and they carried out the vision! I didn’t understand the process but I trusted them! Very professional and pleasant to deal with! They turned a muddy backyard into an Oasis for a GREAT price! The work took about a week to complete! Very pleased. He has a great vision!

  Den and his crew did a good job on our patio. They did start a bit late but Den was always keeping in touch with us. i would recommend them as they did a nice job.

  We are extremely disappointed in the entire process and end results. It started off great, we got along and we thought the crew was friendly. But right after the initial pour it really dropped off. Den stopped communicating with us and stopped showing up for the job. He would tell us the crew would be there on a certain day at a certain time but then not show up, and would not even give us a courtesy call to tell us they wouldn’t be here. We took off several days from work to be here and they never showed. We would have to text him and ask when they were coming back. Sometimes it would take days to hear back from him, and when we did it would be a variety of excuses why they didn’t show. He gave us excuses that COVID shut him down, but this job should have been finished in February before COVID and I have the text messages from back in Feb that says it will be done. There are so many flaws and mistakes, it really is a shame. Half of the patio looks great, but the other half and the steps are terrible. We tried to communicate with Den about fixing it, but we got more excuses. He told us he would come back and fix it but never did. He told us that work was just too busy and he had other jobs. When asked why he accepted new jobs before finishing our job he then replied that he would come fix it in June. We waited and waited, and halfway through July he is still too busy to come fix it.

  I wish we could post pictures of the work here, but it won’t let me. Here is a summary of the errors.
  
  He concreted over the drains and now we cannot remove or replace it like we wanted. If we need to access it we will have to chip away at the concrete...and the border is cracking. One day, the last day we saw anyone, the crew tried to remove it and couldn’t. He ended up cracking a chip out of the drain AND a quarter sized chunk from the concrete.

  The concrete around one downspout...really bad. It’s not the right color, its a dark gray when the rest of our patio is a lighter tan. It’s not sealed, and it’s already chipping away. And there’s a long crack that goes from the down spout all the way to the paver wall.

  These steps are terrible. The color is uneven and too dark, and doesn’t match the rest of the patio. Den patched in dark gray concrete up against the house and it doesn’t match. He got stain and sealant on the house siding, drilled holes in the siding, and there are sealant drip marks. The sealant was brushed on super thick and you can see the brush marks. They look awful.

  There is a whole long strip of patio where Den dropped red stain when he was staining the border. He tried to cover it with dark brown stain, but it made it worse. One of the crew came and sanded the red away, but now it’s just gray spots surrounded by dark red and brown.

  On the other downspout he concreted over it. If we need to access or remove this for any reason we will have to break up the concrete. It also has a long crack in it.

  There are also several significant cracks already.

  I’m not sure we can do anything to fix these mistakes. We trusted him when he said it would look great when it was done. If this is the quality of work he is proud to put his name on, then there is no way we can recommend him to others. We had several coworkers and one neighbor that wanted his info. But we can’t recommend him at this point. We’re really sorry it ended this way.

  Lesson...never pay in full before you are happy with the end result.

  Concreet patio

  This contractor will lead you on. He talks a good story but falls short. He never finished our job. He stamped the patio the wrong color then accused us,saying we picked the color. We showed him pictures of our choice but he used the wrong color and won't come back to make it right. He continues to say we're next in line but the day comes and goes, no Den. I would never recommend Taka concrete again. I did and he also shined the on.
