HUGE RANT!!!! DO NOT use TALCO CONSTRUCTION to replace your roof. They quoted one price, then after roof removed, price went up by additional $1,800. They claimed every piece of plywood need to be replaced, and supposedly had video to show us as evidence (we do not live in the house). Well, no surprise that when we asked for the video, it was unavailable. Unscrupulous, bait and switch tactics....lesson learned the hard way - please learn from our mistake!
Response from Talco Construction LLC October 8, 2018Betty, I have to say that i am very shocked and disappointed with a few things regarding your rant. 1) Having an issue with my company you never reached out to me to discuss this. 2) you were made aware of unit pricing for any and all additional work and signed acknowledgment of such. 3) upon finding the large quantity of rotted wood my employees called you ASAP to inform you of what we were finding. 4) our sales rep told you that the office has the video and you were welcomed to request it. We run an ABSOLUTELY HONEST business and if you think I’m willing to risk the reputation I’ve spent almost 2 decades building over $1,800 you’re mistaken. We used Talco Construction to replace our roof after the hurricane came through. Their price was fair and they didn’t ask us to sign anything over so they could scam our insurance company like most of them do! We highly recommend them for any of your roofing projects.
