    I met Bryan and Neil two years before I chose them to build my house. The house is four years old now and I still have nothing but fantastic things to say about my experience and satisfaction with their construction and the building process. We have had their potential customers toured our house and have helped at least 3 families decide on Tamlin. They in returned were very happy with the product and they too let other potential customers tour their new homes. Picking out colors, flooring and granite is the easy part, their knowledge of building a house in Florida without rotting out in 10 years is the reason I chose them. As a building scientist and a Certified Indoor Environmentalist that has worked with the majority of very high end custom home builders, I truly understand how the construction differs in hot humid climates vs Northern, and so do they. The fact that the price was the price and they didn't nickle and dime us through the process like a track builder was refreshing. They worked around our schedules for meetings and kept to a solid time line, even boosting us up a few weeks to work with our expiring lease. Picking out a builder is a major decision and building a house is a complex series of events. My recommendation to anyone is to ask your builder for a long list of references of customers, from that list call a few to see how satisfied they are. They have built multiple homes for the same family and I too would build again tomorrow with the boys. Best Home building value and experience in the Tampa Bay area.

    Tamlin Homes has recently entered the high-end home building market. Despite what they sell you, a nice looking home is not always a well built, well functioning home. They do not have the big-project experience or management capabilities to be successful with more complex projects. Their subcontractor base consistently demonstrated poor quality workmanship and ended up damaging much of the trim and fixtures. There were countless mistakes made and no accountability at the highest level for any of the problems. Just excuses. If you want to hear excuses, you have the right home builder. High end homes are differentiated by the level of detail designed into them, from the trim characteristics to the finishes. They had never installed integrated appliances before our home, and it showed. They bumbled through almost every piece of the finishing process and needed to re-work everything from electrical to gas to stone to flooring and cabinets. Best advice would be to stay away, since they refuse to honor warranty work. Cannot be trusted.
