Our experience with Tart's Artistic Inc., was nothing but exceptional. The owner was easy to talk to and to get a hold of. His crews were respectful of our property and the work was completed in a timely manner. He was quick to correct a concern we had, without making excuses for his crew. His quote for the job was fair and he even assisted us with a couple of other items that we were not charged for. We would definitely use him again and would highly recommend him to our friends. Please note that the time to complete the job was approximately 1 month, but that was due to no fault of the owner. The delays were all associated with the carport provider and the County permitting process.

By AnonymousJune 30, 2014Outdoor recreation building and extend our patio$$70,000300 daysDO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY
Company's owner has walked from our project after receiving 95% of payments. We hired Tart Artistic, Inc, who we thought was a licensed contractor to construct an outdoor recreation building in our backyard and extend our patio. After 8 failed inspections from the county, he has left the job without finishing the project. We paid him to finish the pool and even loaned him an additional $5000. He is saying the project has cost him too much money and he will lose more if he continues. To date, we have paid him almost $70,000. We have since realized he isn't even licensed and has an F rating with BBB.

Craig Tart and his company does horrible work and they do not stand behind their errors. Craig offered to refund our money since none of the job was done correctly. We had to have 100 percent of what he and his guys had done, taken down and removed. We had to have a competent contractor do 100 percent of the job over again. Not only did he screw up labor but he also modified custom materials incorrectly and they had to be replaced. Beyond that, the other materials he purchased would not pass inspection and those couldn't be used again and also could not be returned. He admitted to his screw ups and said he would refund our money. As soon as he removed all his tools from the job site he went back on his word and would not refund any money. The new contractor said the job was supposed to take one week to do and that new contractor did it in one week. It took Craig four weeks to do bad work and then we had to fire him. I am not saying to use or not use him, but this was our experience with him. We should have done our due diligence on him before he started. If we had just Googled Craig Tart and Tart's Artistic based on his many other negative reviews we would not have hired him. This was a very expensive lesson to learn.
