I don't know who wrote the other 3 reviews but this has not been my experience with task flooring. Steve has not shown up when he says he will, I sent him pics of the current shower and the tile that I picked out and an explanation of what I wanted about a month before he came over for me to sign a contract. When he came over with the contract, I had samples of the tile that I sent him pics of and we went in the bathroom to go over the design of the shower remodel that I wanted. Everything was fine and he told me when he could start. The first day of demo, he was late. He did not put plastic up in the hall archway by the bathroom and my entire house upstairs and downstairs was covered in demo dust. He told me he couldn't put plastic up cuz he needs to breathe?! He had a mask on by the way and the bathroom window was open
After 2 days of not showing up when he said he would, I sent him a text to let him know my displeasure. He showed up 2 hours after he said he would and seemed to have an attitude (probably because of my text). He told me that I needed to pick out a new tile for the back wall( a 12x24) because he can't do the mosaic tile on the soap niche wall. He said he can't cut it because the glass tile in the mosaic can't be cut and it won't line up in the niche. I told him that I didn't want a 12x24 tile, that I wanted the mosaic. He said he'd do the mosaic if I want it, but I need to sign a waiver if it doesn't come out right! WTH?
Then he told me he was gonna come on Monday and set up by my front door to do the tile cutting. I told him that my cleaning lady was coming on Monday to clean up the dust mess in my house from his demo and to please cut the tile on the driveway. He said that if I want him to cut the tile in the driveway, then he has to charge me more cos he has to walk more steps!! Are u kidding me? WTH? I LIVE IN A TRACT HOME AND THE DRIVEWAY IS RIGHT TO THE LEFT OF MY FRONT DOOR! I was in disbelief of his comment. I said "So, you're telling me if u have to walk 7 steps instead of 3, I have to pay more?!!! That's ridiculous! His response was that if his guys have to walk more steps, then it takes them more time and if it takes them longer, then it's more $$. B.S! Last Friday I was furious over this, and I RETEXTED him pics of my kitchen (on friday after he left) that I had originally sent him (glass tile backsplash done by a different tile guy) that went around a window n into the sill and sides with NO ISSUES AND CAME OUT GREAT). I asked him why the soap niche can't be done like that when it's the same kind of wrap around and it's Sunday and I still have NOT received a reply. If a contractor sees pics of what you want, you show him the area and what you want, you show him the tile you want and he accepts the job and has u sign a contract, then he doesn't wait till he demos and starts the job to tell u he can't do what u want!
I know what I want CAN be done cuz my kitchen is proof of that ( maybe that's why he didn't answer my text!) He told me he's been doing this tile work for 24 years. Are his skills not good enough to do mosaic cutting? He's supposed to show up tomorrow. I'll keep you posted -

Steve Moore and his crew from Task Flooring completed the installation of 2,000 sq ft of porcelain tile in our Murrieta home this year. We couldn't be more pleased. The work was excellent and completed on time. Great price. Be sure to call him if you need any tile work or flooring done!

I would not recommend them. Steve promised me a curb in my shower that would easily drain water. To say it doesn't drain is in understatement. I have to squeegee it off then wipe the rest with a cloth. He promised to come back and fix it. That was months ago. Haven't heard or seen him yet. They also put deep cuts in my wood floor when cutting tile with a hand tool. He promised to come back and fix the floor with our extra flooring, he didn't show up to do it. Also, there was grout lines left un grouted. My husband ended up correcting both problems. The tile work that was done by his employee was done well. He talked to me of the importance of integrity but, I feel he just gave it lip service. He doesn't have any.
