    New Roof
    $20,000

    I hired a this guy, Ryan Smith... owner of Taylormade Restoration... who also took my money... a $20,000 insurance check ... over a year later, no work was done, and they stopped responding. I filed a police report, but nothing’s happened. This is unacceptable and feels like fraud. Leaving this review to hopefully warn others

    Rebuild deck and fence
    $7,836

    We signed a contract with Ryan Smith, of TaylorMade Restoration to rebuild a deck and fence. The damage was due to a tornado that occurred in March. We had other repairs that had to be completed before he could start. Ryan contacted us several times to say he needed money to place the order for supplies. We told him we would give him 50% of the money once our other jobs were almost completed. On July 11, 2024, we wrote him a check for $3918. for supplies. And then we waited. After several weeks, we contacted him about delivery and a start date. Then the excuses started; the order hadn’t come in, the order was wrong, he had to use another source for the supplies, he had Covid, his girlfriend had emergency wrist surgery, his cat died, etc. On September 17, we canceled the order and asked for our money back. He made excuses about how long it would be to get the money refunded from the supplier. Finally on October 3, we gave him the deadline of October 15 to refund our money. Since our experience with him had been questionable, we contacted the county sheriff on October 8 about filing criminal charges for theft. The sheriff called him and let him know that if the money was not returned by the 15th, charges would be filed on the 16th. He finally refunded our money on the 15th.
