PLEASE READ! I've been struggling with whether or not I should go public with this issue that I've had with a heating and cooling professional. And, after careful consideration, I feel that it is my duty to warn everyone about this guy. Especially my Charles City people and New Kent neighbors, that have been victimized or possibly could be victimized by this guy. He often brags about how much work he does in these areas.. I've been a Realtor since 2008, and have been doing renovations since then as well. I've never, in all of my years of experience, run across a piece of crap like this guy. And, if he screwed me, with all of my years of experience, I'm sure he has taken advantage of others and will continue to do so. TONY FLESHER of TB Flesher Heating and Air Conditioning is his name. He lives in New Kent on Olivet Rd. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!! PERIOD!! He was hired to install my heat pump and my fireplace, during my home renovation. He totally screwed up my heat pump install as well as my fireplace. I gave him a 3,000.00 deposit for the job. He came over to do the rough-in for both, got my 3,000.00, and after multiple calls and threats to take legal action, he never came back. I think his intentions were to take my deposit and run!! I really think that's his game. After a month of him not responding, he got very rude. So, I had to call other HVAC guys to come over to give me estimates to complete the job. And, thank GOD I did. That was when it was discovered that he hadn't installed anything correctly in my attic. He didn't even have the correct type of duct installed. I then had my fireplace work inspected and discovered the work he had done could've really caused a deadly situation if he had completed things the way he'd installed it. He completely screwed up everything! I was FURIOUS!! I called him again, threatened him with DPOR if he didn't return some of my money. He called me back pleading for me to give him an opportunity to correct problems. Said he had done some research, and he could properly complete the job. I considered it. He disappeared again and again. He lied to me over and over! Once, he even asked to forgive his behavior because his son is a Meth addict, and he was going through something. Honestly, he may be the METH addict, based on his behavior. Long story short, he never came back. And.... honestly, I think God was probably looking out for me. I really don’t think he had the skills to fix the job. Also, he gave me a price before the job, then increased it by 2000 after rough-in. Beware, folks! DO NOT USE THIS GUY FOR ANYTHING!! I am now in the process of filing a complaint with DPOR, BBB, etc and maybe even civil court after that. This guy really shouldn't have a license!! If I could've given him a Zero I would've.
