    Renovate our kitchen

    I just wanted to give a shoutout to TD Home Renovations. They did an awesome job with my small kitchen. It used to be meh, but now it's great.

    They stuck to the budget we talked about, and the job was done on time.

    Now, my kitchen is my favorite spot in the house.

    Beware a potential world of pain with TD Home Renovations. The previous two reviews on this site sum up our experience with this company and we highly advice anyone considering it to read these reviews and make a well informed decision.

    Here's the text from our Nextdoor post and the links which also provide access to the photos posted on the site in addition to a questionable response from TD Home Renovations.

    A must read review with photos before you hire TD Home Renovations LLC so that you can make a well informed decision:

    Facts:
    - My wife and I signed two contracts (Mudroom and Sunroom) with TD Home Renovations on May 18, 2022.
    - Estimated completion date: October 31, 2022
    - Penalty agreement signed March 22, 2023 if work was not completed by April 2, 2023
    - Work was not completed by April 2, 2023 and penalty agreement was not paid. A false employee illness was referenced.
    - Date when job was abandoned: April 7, 2023
    - Poor workmanship as evident in photos
    - TD Home Renovations proposed a settlement on May 21, 2023 but not notarized until July 24, 2023 and as of November 11, 2023 has not been fulfilled.
    - Attorney General’s office was contacted and despite their efforts to mediate, given the settlement agreement, Terry Green advised to seek legal representation as there was nothing more that the AG’s office could do unless they received several other complaints and then the AG would get involved.

    Opinion:
    While there are several other facts that we could reference, we believe that the ones listed above and the photos attached are the most objective to help other homeowners make the decision that they’re most comfortable with for their projects.

    Our relationship with TD Home Renovations began well during the contracts discussions and designs.

    As the work progressed, very slowly given the minimal working hours on site, the lack of follow through, poor workmanship, and lies became blatantly evident. We were even threatened with a Mechanic’s Lean at one point if we didn’t pay for partial work that had been completed.

    As human beings, we wish TD Home Renovations and those associated with the company well but as a contractor, we hope that they change their ways of working for their own good and for that of other homeowners.

    Replace a side of our carriage house

    It has been 3 years since Tyler did work for me. At first he was gang busters but then nothing. He wouldn’t answer texts / calls He re-sided one outside wall of our carriage house. There was a dutch door which i told him i wanted to remain. He didn’t put the door back in fact it took 5 months for him to put a door back in. When i told him that i wanted the door back on he told me the job was done!! No way critters could get in. He finally came and put a dutch door on not the one i wanted and the one he put on doesn’t even fit. I would not recommend him for any job. He is inconsiderate, it is all in his time, he doesn’t return calls/ texts, has excuses for everything. Every time i look at the door it just irks me that is why i am writing this now!
