By Devon D.February 22, 2018Emergency Plumbing Repair
I called David at night when the plumbing in my house froze, leaving me with no water. David came to my house right away and worked well into the early morning thawing, repairing and insulating the pipes under my house until I had water again. David was extremely helpful, and knowing that I am a single mother he refused to take any money for the work that he did in the middle of the night. Not only was he kind enough to do the work, he called several times after he did the work when the outside temp was below freezing for several days to make sure that I still had running water. I would highly recommend David and TD Investments to anyone for their general contracting needs.

By Sonja W.September 15, 2017Build bedroom addition
I hired TD investments to build a bedroom addition. I made two payments, totalling $12,400. TD, David Yeakel then gave me an additional invoice for almost $5000, for work not agreed to and not done. When he refused to take things off the invoice because I did not need or want it, David Yeakel stopped all communication. Two days later the whole project failed inspection due to TD not building according to specs or using the right materials also according to specs. TD made no effort to remedy the situation, in fact he never returned. But not before taking materials from my home saying he would replace them the next day. I let this happen because I was told by David Yeakel owner of the company that he had purchased the wrong wood. But that was the last time I saw him, he stopped answering my calls and never returned to my home. He was one week away from contract ending and only 10% done. This is because they only work three hours a days, when they show up. This company has at least five different address and PO boxes. Looks like a company that doesn't want to be found. Especially when they take your money and run.
Response from Td Investments LLC November 16, 2017This client has failed to let you know that I in fact scheduled the inspection to have the project stopped. It was getting ridiculous with all the changes made without an Authorized Change Order. It is stated in my contract which ensures both parties are covered. You can't just add to a structure without approval from the zoning and inspector. And on this particular job we were adding a second story addition with a counterlever. I use one of the top engineers in the lehigh valley who gave me my approval along with the stamped changes. This addition was to have a balcony, 4'x6'. We suggested that a deck along the whole wall would be ideal for many reasons. I've dealt with hundreds of clients and I had some real unreasonable people and still completed the job. In the end they always come out happy, which I guarantee they will. I could not seem to get them to understand that to go from a balcony on a second story addition(15' off of the ground, to a 18'x6' deck with a roof, cost money. for some reason this woman thought it was only a matter of adding seven boards. I subbed out the project and would be in verbal contact with the client and subs daily. It was just a horrible mess. By the way, the reason I stopped the job was their refusal to pay for the extra Labor to add the 12'x6' deck with a roof. Cost wasn't $5,000 either, it was around $3,800 and that included two trees that were cut, that I was going to let slide. I called Them and submitted the overdue invoices along with my address and 3 phone numbers and they never returned my calls. However, he did try to go behind my back to three of my team members and tried to employ them and receive my stamped approval from the engineer. If anyone who is subject to read these posts and you are interested, I'll supply you with documentation with at least five(5) witnesses to their charade. I would go back there in a minute if they complied with our signed legal contract, Why, because I want them to be happy and enjoy their improvements to their home. -

By Ann S.June 17, 2017Verified HireNo more water in b basement!!!!!
TD Investments LLC came onboard to resolve surface water leaking into the basement of a very old home due to an old, dried out, broken, and cracked asphalt alley surface. This company went above and beyond in waterproofing the lower part of my house, replacing rotted and water soaked wooden framed basement windows with new windows surrounded by cement block and sealed to prevent water coming in or water damage, worked with 400 degree asphalt on a 95 degree day to coat my narrow and hard to access alley. I've never seen such dedication, commitment, and hard work in getting this project done on a timely basis. The owner and workers are honest, caring, open, and up front people of integrity with excellent work skills and ethics. I have many more home projects and intend to use this company, and this company alone.

I hired TD investments to install a bath tub, lift kitchen and deck which were sagging, install a jacuzzi, and various other smaller jobs totaling $25,000. TD, David Yeakel asked that he gets paid in three instalments for completion of each project . His first initial payment was for 8,000. Before the second project of pouring cement, lifting kitchen and deck he started demanding the second payment even though it was not even started. He insisted that he gets paid if not he would not start the job. Unfortunately for us , we made a mistake of paying him the second and final payment . Once he received total payment , David Yeakel stopped all communication for weeks . After 3 weeks of reaching out to him and asking him to finish the jobs, he started asking for additional moneys . At this point gave up on him and getting my money back . Would not want anyone else to repeat same mistake I made and strongly suggest before considering him, to do a thorough background check including court records and reviews on Zillo and other sources, which I did not do and lost my hard earned moneys
