Home addition project that involved adding a bedroom and bathroom to back of house. Removing front entry wall of house and adding new porch, entry. Taking roof off and expanding 2nd story and adding 3rd floor observation deck. Very complex project that most contractors did not want to bid. I will say TBC has handled all the structural support changes very well. First 2 months of project communication with Texas built was very good. Issues early on the project was some subcontractors they hired being inexperienced or poor work. Such aa concrete foundation for front and back addition poured at wrong elevation to existing slab. ( 1.5" off) . Septic lines sloped wrong direction from septic tank. Issues such as these were not caught by Texas Built but by me. Texas Built started project with having project manager on site about 3 days per week. but it quickly went to about once a week. Midway through project they assigned a new hire to our project. Sub contractors show up to our house unannounced without notice from TBC or do not show up at all for 7-10 days.
In all fairness to TBC subcontractors are difficult to find since everyone is busy and our project is out in the country and takes most everyone well over 1 hour travel time. Communication from TBC could be much better. Bottom line is the project will take almost twice as long as we were originally told and be prepared to supervise many of the subcontractors yourself, so if you do not have any knowledge of construction practices you may not want to use them. -

I would definitely recommend this company. The work turned out so much better than I initially thought. We did from the roof, windows, siding, new garage door, new patio cover, and French doors. We have had so many neighbors and people driving down the street stop and comment on the transformation of the house. The various workers we had were so understanding of our desire to make our house beautiful. The workers I would recommend the most is Austin and Evan. They were a great team. We got to know ea1ch one as a part of our family. Austin stood out the most, his work ethnic was outstanding! We clicked right off the start. He explained things to me as the work progressed. Austin is very dedicated to the company and the work he performs. If in the further we need more remodeling, I would call the company and request Austin to do the work.
