I used the Addition Magician several years ago and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a contractor. I also was having a "new" bathroom installed. He stopped coming when confronted that the sink, toilet and shower wouldn't fit in the space he allotted and had to move a wall out. None of my sheet rock seams were taped, everything leaked and had to be ripped apart and redone after he "finished", I kept failing inspections. It took him 6 months to finish a two week job - and what a nightmare it was. Do not use this guy.

If I could give this contractor negative stars, I would. A simple bathroom demo and remodel that was supposed to take a week took more than two months. This contractor caused a severe water leak in my home, flooding both an adjacent room and the downstairs of my home. It took him a month to paint the water stained ceilings in the downstairs of my home and he only used one coat, not two, so some of the stains were still visible. There were several no shows, late shows and blow offs. Debris and even fast food garbage was left in my home and in the front of my home. Contractor also refused to provide receipts for items he claimed he purchased. The work he did was slipshod, haphazard and amateurish. Bullnose was left incomplete, walls were not spackled and were so uneven, that they were actually raised above the bullnose. The paint work was sloppy, uneven and incomplete. The floor tiles were uneven and not level. The contractor also did not adjust the piping properly, so he cut a hole in the bathtub to fit the faucet and just left a giant hole in the tub. He also broke expensive materials that I purchased at a tile store and attempted to replace them with cheap subsitutes from Home Depot. Within days, all of the grout work in the shower started to crack, clearly a result of improper mixing. And when I turned on the bathtub, not only did it not drain, but the tub leaked and the water poured down through the floor. His work was so horrific, that three different contractors told me that everything needed to be torn out -- his 'work' was not even fixable. And, the items he claimed he purchased -- and failed to provide receipts for -- were not purchased at all, which was discovered when the new contractor tore everything down. It was also discovered that all of the pipe work was jimmy rigged and not installed properly -- none of the pipes were soldered. The bathtub was also not set so it squaked and creaked whenever you stepped in it. I won't even get into the shower doors he tried to install -- shower doors that would never be able to close because the tracks did not meet. Eddie from Adddition Magician was combatitive and threatening throughout the process when I would ask for receipts or ask him how he was going to fix the work that he clearly did not do well. Steer clear of this guy and this business at all costs.
