  Replace Roof and gutters

  So John started off pretty good. He communicated well and was quick to respond. Goes off on tangents and is pretty weird. But seemed like a good guy. After dealing with the insurance company finally got the first check. I pay him and then basically was ghosted for a few weeks. Then is back in touch with me wanting more money to order the roofing material. We discussed color of the roof 4 times over the phone and I text it to him. He some how still orders the wrong color. He asks if I want to have it reordered. I decide the color he ordered was find and just keep it to avoid further delay. All the material is delivered to the house and sits on my driveway blocking the garage for 2 weeks. During the 3rd week they finally install the roof. My house has solar panels. It is the middle of summer he has the panels off 2 weeks before the material arrive then after the new roof is installed. I get a supplemental insurance check. John calls me and demands the check. I tell him I will pay him once he finishes the work the money is for. He then threating me to put a lien on my house and will stop all work on the property until he gets paid. He completely blows up on me and yelling at me that I signed a contract and I have to pay him the money. I am completely shocked at how much he escalated so quickly. I told him I don't see how it is unreasonable to withhold payment until the work is completed. He threatens the lien again and says he will not do anything until he gets "his money". Amazed at how crazy and unstable this guy is I agree to just pay him. He gets his money and takes another 3 weeks to reinstall the solar panels. It's summer so of course I am pay a much higher electric bill to keep the house cool and missing out on prime electricity generation time. Don't hear anything from this guy then out of the blue he calls me like 4 times and leaves me a message yelling at me that I owe him money and that I better pay him. On and on he goes in a rage of ramblings telling me I better pay him his money. I am at work unable to pick up so I text him back telling him I have paid all the money I have received from the insurance company and at this point no longer wish to speak to this unstable individual. Then he text back saying he found a picture of the check, No apology. This was truly a horrible experience and I will never do business with again. Owner is very unprofessional, has extremely poor business practices. He called me so many times and I am not sure why it was clear he never wrote down or listened to anything I said. He always seemed unsure what was going on or was happening. I would highly recommend NOT using this company for any reason. John also told me many times how roofers had such bad reputations and that insurance companies were really the problem. He proved that the Blessed roofing company is indeed feeding that reputation. In closing there is no blessing with this company only curses.
