DD was assigned for toilet warranty work. They changed parts which did not fix the problem. Another appointment was schedule. They didn't show. I made several calls to DD and was told they had ordered more parts or were working with the warranty company. When I finally called the warranty company (I should have called them sooner) I was told DD reported the problem fixed a month ago, and that was the only feed back they had from DD.
I am in the customer service business. The service, or lack of service is inexcusable. -
By Heather J.January 29, 2023Replace leaky valves$6,000Read more
I had a few leaky valves and my home warranty company sent Random (Drain Dudes owner) and his brother out on a service call. Random told me that they would not replace the leaky valves unless they also redid all the pipes to Pex in my house and acknowledged my home warranty company would not cover the pipes and it would cost me between $4000-$6000 out of pocket. After they left, Random’s brother called and said although he was unlicensed he would replace the pipes and valves for $1300. I asked him how often he undercut his brother and he said “only when he wanted to help a nice person out” and because he was not licensed he was able to charge less. Random and his brother attempted to take advantage of the fact that I am a single woman that doesn’t know much about plumbing. They did not present redoing all the pipes as an optional service, but told me there was no way to replace the valves without redoing all the pipes, which is a straight out lie. I contacted another plumber who said it was ridiculous and actually laughed at what the Drain Dudes were telling me. The plumber I contacted came out and replaced the valves without issue in under an hour. After my experience with Drain Dudes, I read their reviews and many people stated that Drain Dudes tried to take advantage of them, submitted completed work orders to insurance companies when they had not done the work, and are generally dishonest and unprofessional. Because of Drain Dude’s lack of ethics and professionalism I had to hire an independent plumber and paid him $219 and got a cash out from my home warranty company for about $90; on top of the $219 to the independent plumber I also had to pay an $85 service for these two hustlers to show up at my house and attempt to swindle me.
As a bonus, as soon as Random and his brother showed up, the brother asked to use my bathroom. Immediately after coming out of the bathroom he directed me into the bathroom so I could explain the valve issue. I walked in and was immediately hit with the stench of this man’s defecation. He and his brother walked in behind me and I was therefore trapped; The three of us stood in my very small and now stinky bathroom discussing the leaky valves and pretending like we weren’t gagging. It’s so unprofessional to blow up a customer’s bathroom. Use a gas station bathroom before coming into a customer’s home. I mean really!

ZERO STARS!!!!! This "company" feels like it was put together by toddlers that are watching YouTube videos on how to do stuff. This place is a joke.. they are so unprofessional and rude. Money hungry and DO NOT care about the customers. Not only is Amber (the wife) the rudest person there- she is what is going to cause the company to go under... I don't think she knows what being professional means. They don't have real plumbers- they hire anyone off the street. They Drink on the job there in the office- so when you call and get a rude response just know it could be because they are drunk, even though they are rude when sober too. Save yourself the headache of dealing with them and request to go through somebody- ANYBODY- else. I promise you wont regret not choosing them.

By Gwen D.May 16, 2022Referred by Homeowner's insurance$0
Draine Dudes was referred through homeowner's insurance. 1st contact they did a see and pic. See the problem take a pic, creepy guy said I needed a new toilet. Made appt. I took off early, they were an hr. late so I called. I was told they accidently dropped my toilet. No call no nothing, talked to Tory to express my disappoint, she got loud said I was being rude and hung up the phone. I contacted Fidelity Home warranty they called, Tory got loud said she was being rude and hung up on them too. This company's customer service is the worst!! Very unprofessional. Tory is disrespectful and defensive. She accuses me of yelling when all I'm trying to do is find out what's going on. This company has HORRRIBLE customer service and should not be dealing with the public.

By Stephanie N.August 27, 2021fix a leaky faucet$0Read more
This plumber was assigned thru my home warranty company. They were a couple hours late to their 1st appointment for a leaky faucet and another that wasn't working properly. When the did arrive, they spent about 5 minutes, said we needed new faucets and would return. We waited, when we didn't hear from them I called, I was told my faucets were a 6 inch spread and special order. I waited months, made several follow up calls, asked if there was anything I could do to help get the parts, The owner was understanding / kind and told me I just had to wait. the last few times I called he tried to be nice but it was clear her wanted me to WAIT to hear from him but he expected to receive the parts around July 11th. I did wait until about July 26th to call, way more than enough time for parts to be received and someone to contact me. He said he did have my parts, but one contacted me to schedule an appt. There also called and was told he would contact me to schedule an appt. After about 3 more phone calls they scheduled me for the following Thursday. I was more than anxious to get this done I had started this claim in March and had had water running down the drain for months. (they didn't even bother to stop the drip while we waited on parts) They scheduled me for Thursday at 1. Around noon on Thursday I get a call saying they are running late, OK, not happy but stuff happens, around 3 I call again, owner wasn't aware Tech hadn't showed up yet. He said he would follow up and get back to me. I then get a call from Mrs. Owner.... telling me tech is still on other job and doesn't know when he will be done. I was frustrated as I waited MONTHS for this appointment, and said I would wait all night if that is what it took I needed this fixed. It was causing my septic to overflow and costing me money (something I relayed to the owner multiple times) Mrs. Owner had an attitude from the beginning, I'm sure because she knew I wasn't going to be happy, so between my frustration and her attitude the call didn't go well. The following morning I instantly started trying to call the owner back to find out how we were going to get this resolved, my calls were ignored. Toward the end of the day I finally got ahold of a dispatcher who told me I needed to call my home warranty company and when I tried to ask why, and to speak to the owner she continued to talk over me and try to end the call, I wanted answers so I kept asking why and that I needed to talk to someone else, she then proceeded to cuss at me and call me a PUTA and hang up on me. I never once yelled or cussed. I did speak up to ask to be heard. I called back and spoke to Mrs. Owner again although the call didn't start well, I felt we were on track to getting something resolved. We were not, they told the home warranty company they didn't feel safe coming to my home and cancelled the job. I never one time yelled, cussed or threatened anyone. After alot of tears and frustration I got authorization to get my own contractor and be reimbursed....... my faucets were fixed in ONE week. NO SPECIAL PARTS NEEDED. The tech apparently wasn't smart enough to properly measure my faucets. They were not a 6 in spread they were a standard 8 inch spread. (I could as a matter of fact just run to home depot Mr. Owner) So to sum up my rant, I waited from March 29th to August to get a leaky faucet fixed. Horrible customer service, unknowledgeable techs, unprofessional. Its too bad, the owner seemed like a kind / compassionate person. Apparently he was not. There is a chance they might be an OK plumber if you aren't going thru a home warranty company but my experience was they were awful.

Worst company ever. Initially stated that we were so far away that (40 minutes) that they couldn't come out until 3 weeks later. Our original request was for a clogged drain and a leaky toilet. Plumber came into our home unmasked and stated he was "NOT" Vaccinated. The Plumber fixed the drain but stated he was never told about the toilet. I called homeowners warranty
company and they stated that The Drain Dudes were notified about the problem with the toilet. The Home Warranty Company called Drain Dudes and told them they had to return to fix the leaking toilet. Drain Dudes
stated that they had to order the part., I called Drain Dudes two weeks later and they stated that the part had not come in and they would reorder it. I called today (two weeks later) and Drain Dude stated that they think the part came in and would come on Friday. I informed her that I didn't think Fri. would work since we were having our ice maker serviced and they might have to turn off the water. The woman on the phone stated she would call me back in 20 minutes. An hour and 1/2 later I called her back and she stated that she was trying to get hold of the service person to see if they could come out on Friday. At this point I was frustrated and said that this "was idiotic" and reminded her that I didn't think Friday would work. She hung up on me. American Home Shield was notified of the incompetence of this Co. and is making a referral to another Company. Drain Dudes is worst company ever. I should have read the reviews before allowing them out to my home. Not one review was positive! -
By Darrell C.March 24, 2021Water heater, canceled job$0
Dispathed by Old Republic home warranty for water heater replacement but after 10 weeks, multiple excuses, multiple promises of a callback and a promise to be out by Wednesday morning, they hung up on me twice that morning in trying to confirm the appointment. While I was on the phone with home warranty to get new contractor, they called them also and canceled my job. Unprofessional, rude and completely disorganized. Do not waste your time or money.

By Steve C.March 11, 2021bathroom remodel$6,000
Initially was a home warranty call - we decided to do a bathroom upgrade (mistake with him) said job would take a week - would up taking 7 weeks and there are still things not done - installed a new shower, 5 faucets - 2 sinks - left one bathroom a mess, did not hook up a drain tube from the dishwasher (causing a flood when started) - installed a tile floor (used wrong color gout) - first week very responsive - as job dragged on became less so and finally did not return calls - unreliable, unorganized, not detail oriented - even after we had talked about it - final straw - week after shower glass installed finally sent one of his workers to finish - took over two hours to install a plate and valve handle - would not recommend again - the counter tops after sinks installed still not right - am hiring someone who knows what to do ( more $$$) - do not use this company - or use at your own peril.

The Dudes were sent out by American Home Shield to replace my water heater on 11/11/20. After a long wait of over a week, the replacement was done, however my porch steps were damaged in the process. I started out being nice about it, but after all the delays and missed appointments my steps haven’t been replaced. I message was on my machine yesterday, but today no one answers their number. Frustrated beyond being nice.

By R. B.December 4, 2020Shower Faucet
This company was sent from our Home Warranty company to repair a shower faucet. The representative came to our home, took the plate off the faucet, replaced it, said he had to order the part, asked for the $75 deductible, left never to be heard from again. Got a text message a few days later from them stating that the job had been completed, I assume so they could get paid from warranty company. So I reported them to the warranty company to inform them that they DID NOT start or complete the job. I would give them 0 stars if it were possible.

Because we are in a rental, our major services have to be contracted out under the homeowners warranty. We had let our property management know there was a stench and overflowing issue from the pipes in our basement. When they finally got someone from Drain Dudes to come out, the technician said it was a faulty float and they would need to order the part. He said the part would be in the next week and he would be back to replace it. More than a week later, the owner or Drain Dudes and a different technician knock at my door. I ask them if they have the part that was ordered. They said no, and they weren’t sure if that was the problem after all, because they fired the guy who came out for the first visit. So, they figure out that somehow a valve was off in the a pipe leading to the pump. They said they had to order the part and that the sewage leakage didn’t fall under the homeowners warranty but they were going to arrange getting it cleaned up with their own shop vac or some other tool. They unplugged the pump and said we could not use any drains that ran to that pump, (washing machine, toilet, shower, bathroom sink). They stated they would be back as soon as the part comes in, by Monday November 9th! No word from them that Monday so I called Tuesday and the woman did not know if the part came or when they would be at my home to do the repair. So my husband called the next day and finally spoke to the owner who said the part didn’t come in because of the Veterans Day holiday...which is strange because we, ourselves, had two packages delivered that day...one from FedEx and one Usps. So, the owner says, again, that he’ll be back for repair as soon as the part comes in. We hear nothing! So I call again that Friday, November 13 to see what’s going on. The wife, Amber, was surprised they hadn’t been back for my repair and said she would get ahold of him to call me. He did call once but I couldn’t get to the phone quick enough. He just left his name and no details as to when it was going to get to my repair. So property management called and he says the part was delayed but the company promises delivery by Monday, November 16th and he will be here for sure on that day. No call or visit from them on Monday, so I call on Tuesday and he says he is so sorry, but he promises he will be here Wednesday between 12-2 and that he feels so bad. No call and no one showed up AGAIN! So my husband calls and finally talks to the guy and he promised to be here today between 9-10. He finally arrived at 10:45 and blocked my car in. I left to run errands and come back to see he is gone. There is still leaked sewer water in my basement. Not even sure if he replaced the valve, but I’ll find out here in a few minutes when the washer starts draining. That’s right, it’s been over two weeks since I’ve even been able to use my washing machine and five children live here! I do not like to leave bad reviews but when I am promised for things to be taken care of on specific dates and times, I expect those promises to be honored. Seems like a nice guy but the way everything has been handled was unprofessional. I hope their company can learn from these reviews and gain some professional growth.

The DrainDude is the most horrendous company I've ever had to deal with. I submit a priority request due to a water leak. It took them a couple of days to send a technician out to asses the damage. They were unable to find the part they needed so they placed caps on the faucets and placed an order that took over a week to arrive. No one contacted me to tell me they recieved the water box. They finally scheduled me a week later and had a no show from the technician! I contact brayden, the owner of the company, and he tells me he ordered the wrong water box. Kept telling me if I wadnt happy, to cancel their service. They re ordered the correct waterbox and set me up with an appointment a week and a half later after he promised me he would get the job completed the next day. I waited for a tech to arrive to my house and no one showed up...again! I called dispatch to see what was going on. The lady is completley clueless and gives me 0 info on why no one showed up. Her name is Amber who happens to be the owners wife. This lady gives me attitude and is completley unprofessional. She tells me to cancel the service if I wasnt happy and hangs up on me. The owner of the company is the same way. Unprofessional and unreliable! No idea how this is a legitimate business! Horrible, poor excuse of a company! Please dont use them. Avoid a headache and horrible customer service by these clowns. I will be contacting the better business bureau amd letting them know that they left a whole in my wall with a uncompleted service request!

Please DON’T use this company. Random is probably the worst business man I have ever dealt with. Does not keep his promises for schedules and caused additional severe problems with my water heater because he did not perform basic system checks as I discovered after the fact.

In the process of filing a law suit against them as they took my 750.00 and will not return my calls or do the work. I will also be filing a complaint with the contract license board as well. This was through the warranty company which is also a joke as they charge license fees to higher these companies. This is company not my first issue with Fidelity Home Warranty and I will not be renewing with them either.
