  Installation Date: January 29, 2010. Things went well for the first year. But had a leak in the kitchen damaged ceiling. They honored and patch the location of the roof, which seems to have missed the mark for the proper location for the nail. No big deal, I thought. A few years later we had another leak in the living room again ceiling damage, same cause as before. I call Fidcus and they did an on sight check and confirmed that the leakage could be the shingle maybe give them a call. So I called GAL-Elk, they ask me to cut out some of the shingles and mail them, that's not going to happen. Well, recently I received the fourth leak in the bedroom. The roofer that did the inspection said the workmanship was terrible. They found many more loose nails either placed in the wrong place or sunken too deep. Fidus said these shingles were good for 20 years. But their workmanship was only good for the year. I still have 8 years left with the existing shingles. Would I use Fidus again? I think Not. Only 1 star because I had to, in order to submit review.

  Fidus always goes above and beyond. I couldn’t possible come up with anything negative to say about the company, their work, and their employees.

  Replace roof

  If you value your time, your life, your money and your sanity I would avoid this company at all costs. They use inferior labor, their employees lie and steal and do sloppy work, and then when you hold back money, they will take you to court with their experienced lawyer, who does their foreclosure work for them all the time. He is very good, and if you fight the costs will escalate, and in my case, I have the same leaky roof that I started with, and even though I paid in full and received a receipt, they sued me for non payment. (Two of their employees broke into my one investment property. The other employee, on his last day of work, obviously absconded with the final payment) Check the Saint Johns and Duval county docket before you hire these people and see what they do to homeowners. They are not in the business of installing roofs, they are in the business of doing shoddy work, foreclosing, taking the home,and then making a profit reselling it. I do not believe all of their work is bad, but they are too big, and the owner does not keep tabs on what his employees do. He charged me $11,918 for a 2200 square foot roof, and he paid each of his Mexican employees $500 flat, no wonder they did not take the time to repair the holes, and fix the flashing. The roof failed so many times, it took them 2 weeks to complete the job. Is this the company you want? Check the court docket to see all that they are up to, and be warned, their employees will lie and say anything to keep from being fired, even in a court of law. I hope someday the owner gets his just reward, whether here on earth, or in front of our maker.
