I used to recommended this company many times after meeting him. I had him do a carpeting job in the past that was good. However, I hired him to refinish hardwood floors at a property for me. There was pet stains from the previous owners that weren't able to be removed although he tried with peroxide.
Here's my gripe. Before he refinished it the color we discussed I wish he suggested to me going with a darker stain to help the pet stains blend more. Or recommended replacing the sections that were the worst (wasn't discussed until after I paid him $3.50 a sq foot to finish.)
So now two years later I still hate my floors. I paid $3500 for him to do them and am now considering sucking it up and spending the money to have them refinished a darker color to help cover the stains.
He is the professional and I wish he guided me to make better decisions. When they were all done and it came time to pay him I expressed my disappointment that the stains were so noticeable and I would have rather put the money towards replacing those rooms and he didn't even give me a discount for being unhappy. Also he left the entire freshly painted house dusty.
I just had a double block refinished and they were much cleaner during the process, charged $1 less per square foot, and the quality was much better.
