    Verified Hire

Originally the company was Polar Bear and my wife signed us up for routine heater and air conditioner inspections. I lost track of them and out of the blue received a call from Heat Depot stating they had taken over all of Polar Bear's contracts and fulfilling them. They come out about every six months and inspect the appliance that will be used in the upcoming season, i.e., in the spring they would inspect the air conditioner and fall the heater and let me know if more than anything beyond cleaning or adjustment were needed. In one of their trips, I was home from work, asked them to take a look at the heater and noticed when they walked through the house and the heater was on a co detector intermittently sounded. Closer inspection of the heat exchanger revealed a leak. Within hours they provided me a quote for installation of a new replacement heater and their proposal was comparable with other contractors I had phoned for a quote over the phone and they threw in whole house duct cleaning and an additional 2 years of preventive maintenance checks. During their heater installation, ducting cleaning or whenever I had contact with them they always went out of their way to satisfy my requests and I have never been dissatisfied with their results.

We found The heat Depot thru home advisor. We just started construction on our basement and we had major conflict that came up with our existing furnace. Being a house built in the 1950's we were not able to get the duct work up into the joises and properly heat the basement. We spoke with russel and he was beyond amazing and actually sent the owner to help us work thru this challenge. I was very impressed when an owner took the time to meet with us. I knew they were a large company and I thought that spoke to the character of this family owned business. Scott and his vast knowledge solved our problem in minutes. Move the furnace to the attic and since there guys specialize in attic installs I was sold. Every employee that came into our home was amazing. We had such great connection with them that before they left each night my girls would hug each one of them. This is a family business that cares for their customers. Thank you for helping us with our basement renovation. Heather
