Permits
- Building permit records show that the Heating & Cooling Co LLC has worked on 28 permitted projects.
I had gotten a bid from this company to install a heat pump and back-up gas furnace system. It seemed appropriate and I liked the thoroughness of the sales estimator. I made a good faith down payment of nearly $8000 dollars for the system providing they get all permits and provide authorization by the manufacturer that they were authorized installers for warranty purposes.
I tried to contact the business weeks before my scheduled install and could not contact them. The salesman had told me they were located in Woodinville, and I tried to look up any evidence of the business and could find nothing. I could not find that they were even licensed in Washington for business. After the date of my scheduled install, evidently they did put up a website.
On the date of my scheduled install, an unmarked 20 year old van pulls into the drive. The installer had no identifying uniform or company verification, no electrical permit, no mechanical permit, no verification that he was a certified installer for Daikin products. I'm sorry, that is too fly by night for me. With all the contractor fraud that is happening, I was not willing to subject myself to trusting this company for installing vital equipment.
