Hired MT to do a simple kitchen remodel, replace counter tops, tile backsplash, install range hood and paint cabinets. From start to finish we had poor workmanship and the project timeline went way beyond what it should have.

Started my addition project and rarely showed up to work. Poor quality work when they did show up. Had to fire them.

Permits
- Building permit records show that THE MASTERS TOUCH has worked on 68 permitted projects.
MastersTouch, Kevin Norman is the most unprofessional contractor
- Paid 50% in advance which was the original agreement but demanded and pressured as for another 25% on the day the job started (he wouldn’t even leave our house just to get the money) because he said he needed to buy the materials. We paid a total of 75% in advance for a one week job that got dragged for a whole month, while our kitchen is torn apart. He started the job 09/ 18
- Very inconsiderate of our time and situation, doesn’t show up when he says he will. Barely even supervises his workers
- Paint coverage is not 100%, left old knob mounting holes in our drawers instead of patching them up.
- Also didn’t do a good job stripping old paint off of our cabinets which you can now see through the new coat
- Keeps pushing the job and making excuses and when we asked for him to the leave the materials that he wanted our money in advance for. He kept delaying the day in which he would bring them by, which made us question if he actually purchased them when we gave him the money in advance in the first place.
- There’s supposed to be more jobs to be done but we told him to just finish the job for the cabinets and drawers by Friday 10/18 and if he doesn’t get them done, we want all materials he said he purchased that we paid in advance, for him to leave at our house so we can get the job done ourselves, but he kept making excuses and responds that he will do it another time when we were clear to him that Friday was his last day. Just one of the many disrespectful responses regarding our time and situation
- He is also rude and makes passive aggressive responses
After waiting forever to get work done the results are sub-par. This was the most unpleasant experience and caused my parents a lot of stress.
