I have been using the Poolman for about 7 years for all my pool needs, including the total reconstruction of my new pool. Their people are top notch, very professional, courteous, and always available throughout the construction process. One of the things I find to be extremely important is the fact that the majority of their employees have been with the company for 12 or more years and if you meet the owner, Robert Sheltz, you will understand why. Wes Colby is their chief designer and contact person for new construction. He's very knowledgeable on the lastest technology regarding pool equipment, recommending the best available in order to keep maintenance at a minimum. These people are very proud of the work and it shows up throughout the process and the results of the pool. Their are always issues that arise during construction and they never leave you guessing or not involved in the decision process from design thru pool school given at the end.
Backyard drainage around a new pool can be a serious problem, one of the main reasons for my reconstruction. Minor sloping and drainage on the deck was designed correctly and the gutters around the back of the house and garage now drain directly into the system
(their idea), and I love it.
I'm a very pleased customer of the Poolman. My business partner is currently having a pool built in his house by them as well. He liked the fact that there was a payment schedule throughout the build with final payment due after construction was completed.
I like the fact that they have been very responsive to a couple of minor things and resolved them to my satisfaction without issue.
