By Fred R.August 22, 2019Repair A/C via AHS warranty contract
The contractor contacted me the following morning that my A/C went down and the receptionist was very courteous and polite, I told her that I was a little leary about using them based on their reviews, but I am the type of person that will trust someone till they give me a reason not to. I was told that the maintenance person would arrive between 3-5pm and even though I live in the mountains of NC, he was on time very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and most of all explained everything to me that he did to fix my A/C and had it up running by 5pm. From the services provided by this company, I would gladly use them again and recommend them to anyone.

By a user in AtlantaAugust 15, 2018central air repair arranged via American Home Shield warrantyRead more
I had a very unpleasant interaction with the Thermal Tech call handler "Jamie". I see another reviewer did also. I have a warranty with American Home Shield who contacted Thermal Tech to fix our central air. The Thermal Tech call handler on the first call was abrupt, did not represent her company or AHS favorably, but set an appointment.
The service tech (Adam ?) was professional and pleasant and on his first visit repaired one air con unit by replacing two interior fuses. He advised another of our four units was also not cooling, but said he could only fix one as I only listed one on my AHS request. I offered to contact AHS and pay another call fee. He said his office said I had to make new request. I understood and I placed a request several days later with AHS for our three other units to be certain this time that which ever ones were not working could be repaired on the second visit .
When I called Thermal Tech to schedule the new, second visit for which I would also pay, I noted it was for 3 units. The call handler was again abrupt. She became rude and argumentative as I explained why it was 3 units, she said what I said about them not working "was not true" and essentially called me, the customer, a liar. I explained I wanted the repairman to be able to fix whichever one or ones were not working, he could just check them. Or turn them on and off to ensure they were working properly. She disagreed. I asked to speak to a manager, she said she was manager. I askwd for someone else or the owner, then for the owner's number, she would not provide one. She said she would not set an appointment. I asked her to have the owner call me and she said he would not call me back. I asked for her name which she said was "Jamie". I advised her I would pass along my experience to AHS.
To be clear,I did not raise my voice or use foul language.
Jamie made me wonder if Thermal Tech does not find warranty work profitable. They are located well out of my Sandy Springs area and apparently do not care how calls are handled. What a constrast from the pleasant customer service professional at AHS and from the pleasant tech who made the initial repair.
I am taking the time to write this review on the hope the review is helpful and maybe reaches who ever leads Thermal Tech if it is not Jamie herself. -

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!! I filed a claim through my home warranty service and they used this company. Guy comes to check my air conditioner and tells me I have a bad compressor and disconnect switch. He even leaves me with a service order stating the same exact thing. Get a call from my warranty saying now the technician states I need to have the condenser cleaned as well. He basically adds another issue AFTER he has left my home. Of course the issue he found after the fact is the most expensive.

Not sure if Cracker Jacks still gives out HVAC licenses. Adam came out and said the AC was not working due to attic too hot and recommended to install attic fan which this house never had one since 1997. Then stated that attic insulation was too low to keep AC at correct temp in house. The AC was set to 75 and output vent was 70 degrees. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Not happy with very bad service

This must be a small office because the RUDE girl on the phone is also "the manager". My home warranty company contracted them. I requested a furnace look because my air wasnt working downstairs but unit wouldn't shut off (the furnace) even in off position. Well the tech comes in. Looks at the breaker (that I turned off deliberately) and flipped it back on. He claims it was fixed. He fixed nothing. When I placed another ticket. Rude girl calls back and says it's an AC claim and I would need to file that and pay another 75$ she then hung up. Thankfully the home warranty company sent someone else out that knew what they were doing and repaired the furnace circuit board.
