I could be dead right now along with two other people. This contrator (Bob) is incompetent. He removed the chimney to my furnace during some air conditioning repair work and left knowing he had to come back to put the chimney back on. He never came back and claims he lost my paperwork and he could not find my house. When the weather turned cold the furnace didn't start and my boyfriend's dad saw the gas valve was closed. So he opened it and everything worked fine thinking they just had forgotten to open it when they were done. Fortunately the realtor had given me a carbon monoxide detector and we woke up in the middle of the night to an alarm. This contractor never should have left the house without a chimney, he should have tagged the gas valve so no one, not even another plumber would open it without noticing part of the chimney was removed. He was careless with three people's lives and he knew it. He said he thought about it as fall drew closer but if he really wanted he could have gone through all his invoices to find my house. He should lose his license. Does it take people dying before there is any kind of justice?

Katie, She is not honest. I think this should be taken off. She did not tell the whole truth. the gas valve was shut off for a reason and they all knew that. The end result we replaced her furnace and did not charge them for it even though it was their fault for not checking the gas valve.
