This and That Company is not a good company to work with. They over promise and under deliver, leaving you worse for the wear. We had substantial Sandy damage, and they indicated that as a general contractor, that they had the capacity to manage all the various repairs that needed to be done to the house, which included a damaged slate roof, damaged gutters and downspouts, leaks, subsidence and various small fixes. After we signed he contract, and they received their deposit, everything went downhill. Specifically, they didn't start the job on the date they indicated. When they did, they would begin one part of a project, leave it incomplete and then move to another part. They took no precautions to cover the lawn, shrubs, vehicles or ground when they power washed the house, leaving paint chips and debris all over everything. To "repair" our damaged slate roof, they applied tar or black gunk, making our garage look unsightly. Despite the size of the job, there were only ever two (2) people on the job at any time, which invariably dragged out the amount of time required for it to be completed. Not only did the job they said would be completed in three (3) weeks turn into a seven (7) week job. But they never finished the work and walked off the job when we demanded they fix the repairs that were performed to a subpar standard. Whenever I tried to speak to them about the quality of their work or my expectations, I was met with arguments and outright hostility. If you are looking for a reputable, reliable, conscientious contractor, avoid This and That Company at all costs.
