Attach a patio gazebo to concrete footings. Convert a window into a slider door & some electrical.
    $5,000

Tom was terrible! His work was very substandard and shoddy. He replaced our laundry room light switch that had 2 separate locations to 1 motion sensor. Which we never asked for or wanted & have hated it ever since! I have asked him to return to return it back to it’s original fixtures & he just blows me off! Do not use this guy!

This contractor was hired to redo two older homes for me. The first home he was contracted to complete replacement of 50 gal. water heater with 40 gal and to include all plumbing; redo the entire bathroom with new sink, vanity, mirror, lighting, heating, replace plumbing under tub, replace stopper in tub, add a shower, provide a shower surround a wall; update in-wall heaters in all rooms with nice finish; update kitchen sink to include garbage disposal and plumbing; update cabinets so doors closed properly, had hardware and in proper alignment; update counter tops, re-caulk around exposed edges; rehang closet doors, with bottom sliders/track rollers; upgrade all lighting; upgrade vent fan in kitchen; add almost new refrigerator/stove-oven, with overhead fan/vent; update all outside crawlspace vents with screens and framing; replace underneath wood on front porch and make sure sealed; replace back door; replace door to garage with fireproof door; replace front door; replace fire alarms/CO2 alarm; remove old shelving in garage; enclose partial insulation in garage; correct interior framing in garage window; new steps from kitchen into garage. His work failed to pass inspection, was shoddy and had to be completed by another contractor: The 40 gal water heater had incorrect plumbing attached as well as out of proper alignment and leaked damaging tile and floor; Water heater was improperly banded to wall rather than studs in the wall and therefore came lose/pulling nails (not screws) from the walls requiring repair to the wall; in placement of the 40 gal floor tile was damaged and torn; steps into garage were with old pieces of wood that did not match, broken at ends and work not completed; framing around garage window never completed; wood replacement under the front porch never completed; in opening the walls in bathroom to add a shower there was noted previous fire damage. All burnt structure was to be removed along with any rotted wood from any water damage to include under the tub. A half-hearted job was done closed up with burnt wood supposedly to be studs, shower hosing and head had not stability due to no studs added. etc. etc

House two the issues are almost the same identical except there was no single car garage.

Calls have continued to be placed, emails sent, letters sent with no responses. Excuses were made due to medical issues, son was to help and to complete work who never contacted me nor responded to my calls.

I have had two homes fail inspection first time through due to his shoddy work and which required me paying a second contractor.

I have heard that several others that have used him since I was introduced to him have had the same problem with him this year 2019.

I was required to give him half up front, and thinking he had completed all the inspection reguirements paid within 30 days of completion. I made the mistake both times since they were approximately 30 days apart of making the final payment.

Tom Westland was hired to replace my window, fix a couple of boards on my deck, retile my shower. His work was substandard at best. He installed tile incorrectly, shower door was installed upside down left 76 staples in my bathroom installed shower head incorrectly left a mess. CCB was contacted and sided with me. I had to file lawsuit and I won. He made up charges and never came back to fix problems. He never used barrier board in shower before tiling. Caused major water damage. He told me job was finished and hung up on me. I had several contractors look at his work and they could not believe what was done. Hire at your own risk

Tom did not finish the job I had already paid him to do and did not return any phone calls or emails. The work he did do was substandard.

    paint exterior of house-never completed

This contractor was hired to paint the exterior of our house. He and/or employees did not show up when promised. Did not return phone calls. Then quit by text message using phony excuse. He kept an unreasonable amount of our deposit lying about the hours worked. The minimal painting, done by his employees (sons) was done without proper preparation and must be redone. He charged us for supplies that he took with him and did use for our job. We would NEVER recommend this contractor.

    Redo older home.

This individual is not qualified to be licensed. He has ZERO contracting knowledge and/or experience. He performed substandard work on my house, damaged the house, left work undone, lied to me , took my money and quit via text message. Hire him if you don't care for excellent results.
