By Jennifer M.August 1, 2020New AC & Heat System$15,000
We are delighted that Thomas Heating & Air Conditioning is servicing the Tyler area. Their fast, professional service was a life-saver to our family in the heat of the summer. They went above and beyond in getting a new unit installed quickly. The owner of the company personally followed up with us multiple times to ensure that we were completely satisfied with his crew's work. We will definitely use Thomas again for our Heating and AC needs! A job well done, communication was fantastic and they showed up when they said that they would!

By Marian J.September 22, 2018Replace Air Conditioner/ Furnace and condenser
Hired Thomas heat and air to change out furnace and condenser in March 2018. They did not level unit in closet and flooded my home with condensate water. Had to get city and state inspectors involved. He does very shoddy work. I had to hire another contractor to reinstall the unit. Think twice before using them.
Response from Thomas Heating & Air Conditioning February 13, 20192/20/2018 Due to the misleading statements, and attack on my reputation, I need to respond to this review that was brought to my attention. I did install a new furnace and AC evaporator coil to replace Ms. Johnson's old unit in March of 2018. The installation passed final, visual, building inspection by the city of Rockwell, TX on 3/15/18. When I left the home, the platform the equipment was installed on, was sound, and all HVAC equipment was in good working order. On May 23, 2018, I was contacted by Ms. Johnson and was told that the "a/c was MAJORLY leaking. LOTS of damage." I arrived at her house about 2 hours after being contacted. The equipment was leaning, or as we call it, pitched backwards, away from the drain port located in the front of the evaporator coil. This caused the drain pan to not properly drain. When I looked under platform, I saw the 2x4 beam was cracked and pulled away from the plywood. The only way this could have happened was to have excessive weight placed on it, from the top, in the attic. I also noticed a sign in the front yard advertising a local roofing contractor's recent work at the house. Upon asking the question of "Who was in the attic?", I was told by Ms. Johnson that no one had been in the attic. This cannot possibly be a truthful answer, somebody had been in the attic. At this point, Ms. Johnson's son became involved, and sent me a text message the next day demanding my company's insurance information. Being highly suspect of the situation, I wanted to discuss the situation with my insurance company. I called him and informed him I would be in contact with my insurance company and call him back the next morning. The next morning, I found out he went down to the city office, where they gave my insurance information to him. He had called my insurance company and made a claim. I was then contacted by her son and was told not to return to their house. In the meantime, Ms. Johnson filed a formal complaint against me with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. After a thorough investigation, they closed the case with no action taken against me. I have hundreds of satisfied customers that would be more than happy to tell about their positive experience with me and the quality of my materials and workmanship. Read less -

Owner Gerry Thomas of Thomas Heating & Air Conditioning is a much experienced mechanic; having made service calls on thousands of homes and businesses in his career.
Gerry is skilled in knowledge of this equipment; how to service it, expert at installation and repairs, how to diagnose a performance problem in a unit. I've known him and have happily depended on him for my A/C and heating needs for many years. I think Thomas Heating and Cooling is best I've known. ... Neal Young ... Mesquite, TX.

I am very pleased with the work Thomas Heating and Air Conditioning did on my a/c recently. The owner is very personable, knowledgeable and he took a lot of time explaining everything as I had several questions. His tech came out as scheduled and did an awesome job! I will use them for any work I may need in the future and would recommend this company to anyone.
