I hired Thomas Tatum from Tatum Home Improvement to do a job for me. The scope of work was to address every concern with the house structure and to replace all bad wood. Thomas and I met and he informed me that he would replace all bad wood and perform the work with the codes of SC; including seals, beams, joist, etc. I found out through termite sources and someone else that skilled/experienced that the scope of work was not complete. Not only was it not complete, but Thomas inserted new wood in front of a bad beam. He didn't replace the rotten wood. Several areas were not done right and were not done to code. He left areas unsafe. Thomas admitted later after it was brought to his attention that he done wrong. He told me that he would make it right and reimburse me some of my money. It has been over a month and I haven’t heard from him. He stopped answering calls, responding to voicemail and text. Please be cautious when hiring him to do work for you. He is not trustworthy! I would not recommend him.
