    Get everything in writing with a real contract

    False Quotes, gives one price then comes back for more money citing overages on other estimates, hard to contact to report problems then slow to respond, or doesn't in my case. I had to find a different contractor to finish roof. Unfortunately i had paid for the job. It ended up leaking at the first rain and after three attempts to contact him he finially sent out one of his sub contractors who never returned:( He billed for equipment (scaffolding) saying if it was not necessary he would deduct it It was not used but he billed me anyway when I questioined him he said the paint ran more than anticipated... I spoke with the sub contractor who did the painting. He said no mam, i did not spend any more on the paint than I told him. Window mouldings were damaged because subcontractors he sent had only huge nails and repeatdly missed their mark. my husband after seeing the mess they were making on our trim sent them home telling them he'd finish it himself with the right type of finishing nails and do a professional job! we have since heard of many people with similair horrible experiences.
