Chris was excellent to work with. Flexible scheduling; Accurate estimating. Accomplished the main objective, and had great suggestions for some other problems we were trying to solve. Had time to tackle several of those as well. Pleasure to work with, recommend to others, would call back for additional projects.

He gave us bid on scope and time frame of 5 days/40 hours and $8k. He worked 2 days, took 3 off, showed up on weekend to work. Did not finish any of the scopes, no dirt level or as scoped, yet left without finishing anything and charged us additional $3k. We now have to finish ourselves. Nice enough guy but not worth the headache unfortunately.
Response from Tibbits Excavating LLC September 19, 2021I went above and beyond for this customer and really can't believe they gave me a 2 star rating. A.I. was happy with quality and production throughout the entire project, until they were billed. The 3k "price increase" was due to taxes, cost of needed materials and a 3rd day of trucking, which were all understood, expected and agreed upon cost on top of the $8400 bid from the start. This was a "time and material (T&M)" job; 8400 plus materials was the estimate, as was the 40 hours, which ended up being 37. Customer had/has 100% say with cost on T&M jobs. The "days off" I took were to go to the hospital because I thought I had Covid (lung infection, not Covid thank God). Sick, I still got everything done in less than 40 hours, which saved them money. I appreciate feedback. I encourage it. And, I'm willing to take constructive criticism when it's due. But, A.I.'s review is just not true. Think about it: If you hire a contractor and they "left without finishing anything" why would you pay them? The reality is the project was completed and paid in full because Tibbits Excavating fulfilled all aspects of the project to the customer's satisfaction. I am very transparent and communicative. I am honest, stand by my work and will never charge a customer more than what's agreed upon. I do my best to make those I have the opportunity to work for happy and have been successful 99.9% of the time.

Our expectations were exceeded by Tibbits Excavating. Price for our project was fair and reasonable. Chris was friendly and communicative, and easy to work with. His knowledge and skill are evident- he really knows his craft. He obviously takes pride in the quality of his work and that shows in the results. He didn’t leave until we were happy, and we are beyond pleased with the work. We won’t hesitate to call Tibbits Excavating for any future projects.
