By Bhanu K.September 19, 2023Finish Basement, add Sunroom and Deck$100,000
We signed a contract with Tim Larson, Connecticut Framing & Construction in October, 2021 for finishing basement, adding sunroom and deck. Mr. Larson, indicated that he had a big crew of 25 people and equipment, which has proved to be false. He has agreed to finish our project within 3 - 4 months. After two years since the contract was signed, Mr. Larson has left my project half done even after receiving full payment. There are still open permits with the town. The flooring & walls are unfinished, electrical system is not fully functional and the plumbing and gutters aren't completed. Now he has blocked my numbers and haven't responded in the last 3 months. Mr. Larson has conned me into signing a contract with his company by willfully misrepresenting his abilities. He has left my house with permit violations and in unsafe condition.

Tim Larson did a project on our basement. It was an absolute atrocity in quality pricing length of time to get it done. This man should be in jail.

By Robert U.November 22, 2021Porch addition and siding$110,000
Our new porch and siding project should have been completed in 4 to 6 months. After 13 months the project was still not finished. Similar to what was said by others - lots of promises but would generally only show up for 2 hours a couple times per week and never fully complete anything. When we had the work inspected by the building department Tim had not gotten the correct inspections done which required us opening walls and ceilings for inspections and having a roof overhang removed and replaced. The inspector called the siding and trim work the worst he had ever seen. There were no j channels and no flashing to keep the water from getting behind the siding. All of the vinyl siding and window trim Tim installed had to be removed and replaced.
We hired a new contractor to make all the corrections and 3 people finished in 5 weeks all the things Tim had been working on for months.
I would not recommend hiring Tim Larson for a house construction project.

By Sandra W.January 14, 2021Addition to bedroom
Tim Larson is an con artist, on Oct 30th I paid him $18,00.00 to do an addition to my bedroom, and from that day on it's been promises and lies. He kept lying to me about getting the permit. After he lied for about 2 weeks he made several attempts. But was not successful because he could not provide the right documenta nor did he have the payment for the permit. The last time I've heard from him was December 10th and he was still lying. I had to take action by getting the police involved. Also, his information that is listed on his card such as his business address and phone number is incorrect he does not reside there and the number is out of service. He's refusing to pay back the down payment. His excuse is that everything is delayed because Covid its so sad that people are using that to delay projects. Please beware I don't want this to happen to anyone one else.

Vinyl Siding Job
I would not recommend Tim Larson to do any work on your home. Started one month late after repeated calls, weather was not a factor. Took over one month to finish the project that should have taken 3 days. Left wholes in the roof from equipment (causing leaks). Tried to charge more than contract stated. Also siding is not put up correct (bulking) and some small pieces has slides down.
I had people ask for recommendations to do their siding and I said “Not Larson”

No. We deposited 37% as down payment. He requested 58% downpayment. He completed 21% of the work and then claimed we owed him money. We refused to pay him additional monies and he abandoned the job. We are planning to recoup $17,000 from him. I would not recommend him to anyone.
