One star is too many. Merrill is an absolute crook. Had an Contracted for a 2 car garage including permits in July. I am still due gutters, doors, window and electric and he never pulled a permit. He won't return calls, isn't paying his subs.

He has multiple complaints with Better Business Bureau and received an F grade. He needs to lose his license. Learn from my mistake and run fast and hard from this guy!!

The finished product turned out fine, but the work was done haphazardly -- his guys threw nails and crap from my old deck all over the yard and didn't even attempt to pick them up. Ripped out molding around my door and promised to fix, but crickets now that the last check was cashed. A large piece of brick fell off the top of the column holding up the deck -- it could have killed somebody or taken out a pet. Took weeks to get them out to fix and then it was done sloppily and they didn't bother matching the color. I would recommend against these guys!

Contracting Merrill and Landmark Garages has been one of the most frustrating things I have had to put up with. Couple that with the fact that I have actually paid him for work that is incomplete and significantly delayed has been extremely disappointing. If you are in the market for a garage or considering using Landmark Garages. Do yourself a favor and literally burn a few thousand dollars, at least you will spare yourself the suspense and agony of wondering if the job is going to get completed and you will be done with it.

You can read several other reviews on here that say very similar things and how I wished I had read them!! Please don't make the same mistake, contract with ANYONE else!

I did give one star, but I wish I could give zero, the experience I have had with him is an insult to other reviews that give one star. For further context I contracted with him in June of 2020 and it is now late December, and I still don't have a garage I can use.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Can't give negative stars but would if I could. Merrill is a con man and a thief. We started the process with this company at the end of June 2019 and after a sales pitch from them gave a deposit check as was asked for to cover cost of pulling a demo permit to get rid of the old garage and getting started. Was told the whole process should take 2-3 months.

Heard nothing from them until mid July. When they claimed inspectors would be coming out etc. Had to constantly ask for any form of update and as other reviewers said we were always "2-3 weeks out".

After continued delays and missed promises with no updates I finally got a hold of Merrill and asked that he refund my deposit less any fees he had receipts for at which point he told me that he would not and was content to steal the deposit money and I'd have to sue him in small claims court to sort it out.
